Guaranteed high level artifact?
So I'm 359 right now. Being tied down by my 350 artifact. People told me to rank up eris morn. So I'm spending hours in coo. Just wondering if anyone knows if I get a guaranteed higher or same level artifact at rank up or if it's just a possibility. Anyone know?
Edit. So based off the info I got, I tried a few things. First I decrypted my 2 legendary engrams, that turned into 2 marks. Then I did a heroic strike and used 1 of my 2 skeleton keys. Again, 2 marks. So then I spent like 2 hours in coo ranking up my eris morn, and of course, another Mark. So I tried another heroic strike with a skeleton key. I got all at higher light, a blue primary, a legendary primary, a blue chest, a blue heavy, and finally, and artifact at 362. That 1 game made it all worth it. If only every game was like that haha. Thanks for all the help guys

1 ReplyAny skeleton chest gives a blue artifact at higher light. I got 3, 370+ artifacts from different strike chests that I used the key on.

Twice in the 340's and once at 351 when I hit 350. I'm in your boat. 359 overall, 351 artifact. BE PATIENT. You don't want a 361 artifact you want a 365 artifact. You should be able to hit 363 with your 350 artifact (do strikes). THEN grind for the artifact.

I leveled her up and did not get an artifact. I was 363 being held back by a 350 ghost.... I was devastated :(

In case it helps, so far, I ranked eris twice but no artifacts received On heroic strikes I used 3 skelenton keys, got a blue 370+ artifact on 3rd attempt.

1 ReplyYou can get them from the Hoard Chests if you have a Skeleton Key. Not sure if it's guaranteed or not.

Do strikes and if ur artifact is ur lowest light item and u get a skeleton key open the chest and a blue artifact higher than ur light will come with the strike specific loot. I got a 370 blue artifact drop with a 372 treads.

Drop from 350 strikes and possible purple engram decoded from cryptarc. It's all chance.

1 ReplyJust a possibility, ranked her up twice and got class items both times; finally got a legendary artifact out of a random blue engram... Drop rates for ghost shells and artifacts are terrible, and it's frustrating that neither has their own dedicated engram to boot.

Eris does not always drop an artifact but when she does it is close to current light if not above.

3 RepliesI got lucky and got one from an engram. But have seen video proof that Eris will give you a higher than your current light artifact. However that is also RNG she may give you runes and a class item. Opening the horde chest at the end of Siva strikes will also give you a blue but higher than your light artifact.

You could get lucky and one pops out from a legendary engram or perhaps even a blue engram hahah...good luck guardian
