After all, Microsoft owns the IP, and will try whatever they can to get the most money. I imagine there was some back and forth between Bungie and Microsoft to not screw us as much as possible, but I could be wrong on that. I doubt there's hidden unlockable content within the CD that will need to be bought a few weeks after the game's released though. I highly doubt Bungie would be one of those companies. I'll probably be getting the Legendary Edition for the armor :D. A huge box to keep it in is nice looking, but after unpacking it's kind of unpractical..

On a side note - I really hope you guys keep up with the limited edition controller theme. I have all three Halo controllers and I simply adore them, I would love to see some for Reach.

I'm just going Limited. The Spartan Armor effect in the Legendary sounds enticing, but not $150 enticing.

Going for legendary but wanted to know...Does the game box that comes with the legendary edition the same game box that is the standard edition? i was so pissed when my limited halo 3 disc got scratched up because of the bad casing. somebody please tell me! Im gonna go pre-order this darned thing tomorrow.

I agree with DEEP NNN, at this point the only things keeping me cautious as to what edition i'd be getting is the armor stuff and money. Realistically, i'm probably going for Limited rather than legendary... unless the armor effect lets me look exactly like Master Chief from either Halo 1 or 3.

Don't get me wrong bungie is great and all plus this is their last Halo game ever, but $149.99 is way out of my price range, although I'll probably buy it anyway even though I shouldn't. Although its just a test to see how much people are willing to pay for games so they can justify rasing the price of video games for future consoles down the road. Keep buying over priced games and guess what in a few years every new game that comes out will cost you $149.00.

Well..well I'm surely getting the Legendary Edition as I did with Halo 3. However we need to do something about the lack of Making Of/Behind the scenes DVDs. I'm very disappointed because of this. Just to compare, in Halo 3's legendary edition you get TWO (2) discs of behind the scenes content, called "essentials" hope you remember. So please Bungie, show us your Love as you usually do...and Give us The Behind the Scenes Disc!! Unless you don't want to go out with a Bang.

The legendary edition look cools, but a bit too pricy for me. Definately getting the limited edition though.

what no making of DVDs? I thought you guys where going out with a bang? Oh well im getting standard edition, nothing really worth buying for Limited and legendary edition and the in-game content will end up in DLC. [Edited on 04.22.2010 11:17 AM PDT]
