they give you increased slide distance along w the move faster while crouched.
also the ammo thing is easily one of the greatest exotic perks out there. you know how long it takes to reload a heavy machine gun? yeah. thought so.
so they are boots with kneepads and fast movement, they are boots that reload when you pick up ammo. simply. amazing.
[armory]Transversive Steps[/armory]
you are welcome...
EDIT:: they dont make you slide farther.
--they make you slide FASTER.
-
1: it doesn't make you slide further 2: I didn't hear anyone complaining. Me and my friends are having an amazing time in PvE and PvP with it
-
Most people don't realize it should work with primary ammo too. So technically you should never have to reload in crucible, which is huge
-
Honestly....they're shit. Warlocks got screwed big time on exotics in y3. Ty bungo.
-
The ammo bit is fantastic. The increased crouch speed is decent... for a Hunter. I wish it had something a little bit more... Warlocky.
-
I just want... THE OPHIDIAN GAUNTLETS!!!!
-
Love the legs. Reminds me of Tholian stuff with how they look, and are amazing with the reloading perk and having the heavy ammo perk. Never have to worry about reloading my fusion rifle ever again, or my colovances duty for that matter. Can't wait for mayhem now, remember how you have to reload when you pick up the heavy someone dropped? Not anymore.
-
I love these boots. Faster crouchwalking works great with my Cryptic Dragon's Take a Knee perk, and they're one of the few items in the whole of year 2/3 with the Heavy Ammo perk. You know, the perk from year one that gives the Gjallerhorn 7 rockets, whereas the Rocket Ammo perk only gives it 6. Beautiful.

Edited by CapnMark: 9/26/2016 4:22:46 AMI'm waiting for a PEREGRIEVES version of these boots ad lol Still waiting lol.
-
I use them in the "carry the part" part of the raid... crouch walking is faster with the part...
-
only useful in PvE really picking up heavy in PVP already reloads the gun. specials take little time to reload. primaries? the boots are a good utility in PvE, that's about it
-
They're really useful in PVE but.... I'd rather use my ophidian aspect in pvp
-
I hate that I can't change those blue lights doesn't go with days of iron gear:(
-
Love them...great, useful perks and they look sweeeeeeet!
-
I'd like to see them get a buff to all movement speeds. My main source of fun is the Raids, so I'd need a big improvement to get me away from my Voidwalker Ram or Sunbreaker Sunsinger.
-
There a fantastic addition to my gear, finishing them useful when i have next to no ammo. May come in handy in raids.
-
As if sliding shotguns werent already a pain to deal with
-
they made nice fusion material
-
Better than the Radiant dance machines.
-
Also you can crouch while in storm trance. I'd ask how being off the tracker but still fast isn't appealing but I'm sure no one knows you can crouch.
-
Warlocks.... give us boots give us boots. Make them give us increased agility. Make us faster. Bungie... OK here's some boots that give you extra agility when crouched. We don't want every blade dancer complaining because now the void walker is as agile and sneaky, plus stronger with better regen than the highest agility subclass in the game. Warlocks.... -blam!- that, you guys suck. This exotic sucks. Where's my evade so I can blink and evade and get an overshield. Hahaha omg. Bungie.... omg they want all 3 of the different player characteristics on 1 subclass. Titan hunter evade Warlock hunter blink Titan warlock overshield.
-
The problem is that there are better options available if you have all of the exotics. Personally, my warlock running exotic arms for extra grenades. That beats out auto reloads on weapons.
-
They are definitely better than Alchemist Raiment, the only thing the Raiment has is that it looks cool, perk is worthless.

Easily the most underrated exotic. I love them. And you're wearing -blam!-ing diamonds on your legs.
-
An interesting combo that I have yet to test but probably works is: Radiant Dance Machines + The First Curse. The exotic perk of The First Curse hand cannon grants the gun bonuses to range and stability until reload. I would guess that picking up ammo won't reset the perk, only actually using the reload animation. If so, great combo.

Bought em after having been excited since they were leaked in the armory back in TTK. Honestly one of my favorite exotics
