Tower mission icon?

Is there an expanded area or a contact I need to speak with in the Tower? Since Tuesday I've had a purple mission icon for the tower, but when I walk around there's nothing indicating what I should do. Anyone else having this?

That's been an issue for me since House of Wolves came out. I heard it had something to do with having a Year 1 Thorn.
