Full auto, burst fire, and Semi Auto do not modify damage output.
There is currently no reason to select anything other than full auto

It's the same irl..... does nothing to how hard it hits. To make it the whole "make your own gun" thing, they'd need to make each fire mode have it's own respective stats, and change the fire rate perks to just plain "low rate of fire" and "high rate of fire" and should probably add an inbetween. It's not much use to me since I haven't used autos in some time and the burst/semi auto seems bad on it. It served as food to my bad juju.

Besides recoil control and bullet control. Yeah they need to fix the damage bug, but the gun is (obviously) much more accurate when it isn't full auto.

I've arrived at the same conclusion. I don't see a reason to use burst- or semi-auto modes at all, other than for ammo preservation. It had so much potential as a multi tool, but it falls a bit short. Using it in 900 rpm mode with semi-auto is a sure fire way to get carpal tunnel syndrome...

Unfortunately this may be intended, making this a very lack luster weapon. I certainly hope they "Thoroughly" ( <-- very important) look at good options for a fix.

Gotta be fixed.

Working as intended

I sincerely hope it is a bug. Atm it is quite lackluster.
-
Knowing bungie it probably isn't a bug. They probably want those modes to be useless.

Yeah, needs to be buffed in that respect
