I was somewhat disheartened when I found out that the new raid will not be as mechanically intense as King's Fall was. I felt like the other 2 raids before King's Fall weren't as fun, as it felt like your standard point-n-shoot fps game. King's Fall brought something new to the table. Everyone was included, and there were certain roles everyone needed to fulfill to overcome the presented challenges and ultimately defeat the Taken King. To me, THAT is what a raid is. When I think of raids, I don't think of one person carrying the entire team through the dark maze on the moon in the crota raid.. I think of team mates communicating in the moment trying to do what they have collectively been assigned to. Hopefully we can see more mechanically intense missions in the future, as I feel that was a big step forward for my experience personally as a pve player

Where did you hear this? That would be a shame.

I agree with you in terms of crota. I think VoG was a good combination of mechanics, and mass damage. The probably, I think, is that very many people can't coordinate. The type of raid that requires everyone to fulfill a specific roll, and nobody gets to just play support, means that a lot of people, and their raid group by collateral, get excluded.
