please help with my lag

So lately ive been really laggy when i hop into any crucible match, or even pve. I have done everything an average joe with no computer experience can do. I have manually set an ip address in my ps4(I also reserved that ip address in my router) I changed the primary dns to 8.8.8.8 and the secondary to 8.8.4.4. I logged into my router home page and i opened up port forwarding and i set up port forwarding to tcp 80,443, 1935, 3478-3480 udp 3478-3479. (like is said on portwarding.com) i checked the speed on my ps4 and its saying i get 78 mbps up and 5 mbps down. So when i join a crucible match it shows i am green, but whenever i move the view it shoots way right, or left. i cant double jump unless i give a good second after i press the x. its been making my gaming experience horrible and i have to switch to netflix after one game or ill break my controller. do you guys have anything you can recommend me to do, that I can do, again i dont have any computer experience. I have a modem router combo, cisco(provided by comcast) lan connected.

It sounds to me like you are experiencing controller input lag. It's possible the wifi signal from your combo modem/router is interfering with the controllers bluetooth connection. If that's the case, go into your router and set the broadcast channel to 11, or 1. It's also possible that your controller is bad and you need a new one. It could be you have some major input-display lag going on with your TV. Set your tv to "game mode", and turn off any extra features that re-process the video signal. Also, I noticed you set up port forwarding. I would recommend using UPnP over port forwarding. UPnP will forward ports for multiple devices automatically. Port forwarding reserves those ports you set up for only a single device, and blocks those ports to other devices. The only reason to port forward is if it's the only way to achieve an open NAT. On playstation, an open NAT will be "type 2" when connecting through a router. Good luck. Edit: I forgot, try re-setting your ds4 controller. There's a "reset" button on the back. You'll need a straightened paperclip, as the button is recessed into a small hole near the L2 trigger. With the controller on, depress the reset button until the lightbar shuts off.
I have a modem router combo, cisco(provided by comcast)
Could be a large part of your problem. We've a seen weird behavior with games in the past with such setups. The remedy is usually getting your own router and having the ISP either switch theirs out to a standalone modem or switching the current one's bridge mode so it behaves as a pass-through modem. If you have any friends that tinker with this stuff they may have on older router that you can borrow to test the idea out before investing in your own router. Generally it is a good idea though as it gives you more control over your local network.

      • Hello! A few questions...do you get any error codes? Do you have a Wi-Fi or wired connection? Before you reply, take a look at this link: https://www.bungie.net/7_What-causes-lag-and-disconnects---Latency--Packet-/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13603

        • I'm sorry to hear that you're having connection issues. Sometimes these are intermittent and just happen once, or for a short period of time, due to network conditions between you, Bungie, and other players. Other times it can be related to your home network, other devices connected to your network, or the connection with your ISP. When you see a variety of different errors in a short period of time like this it typically indicates that there's an issue with the connection along the route that traffic is taking from your console to Bungie, or the P2P connections Destiny utilizes to connect you to other players. Take a look at our (comprehensive!) Network Troubleshooting Guide to learn how to get the optimal network setup for playing Destiny. Even when other games seem to be working fine we've found that Destiny may require a few tweaks to your network to get the best performance.
