Buff Auto rifles damage at close quarters combat

I've been playing a lot with my Monte Carlo with the aggressive ballistics barrel and I'm doing great with it. Almost any time I manage to land all my shots on the targets, but I realized about something, even tough I was landing all my shots, I was been beaten by hacksaws, grasps of Malok, Suros PDX and many others medium to high rate of fire pulse rifles at close quarters, the territory of autos and hand cannons, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying those pulse rifles are OP, actually I think they're ok. Well the reason of my post is that I think that autos deserve a buff in their base damage, specially the ones that have medium and low rates of fire, like Monte Carlo and Suros regime and maybe to compensate for this base damage buff and that that they will be effective only in their territories, I think they should decrease a little bit their damage falloff, so they can still do the same damage they do right now at medium to long ranges, and that this extra damage will be only effective at close quarter combats. I think this would put autos right where you Bungie guys want them to be according to your goals. And make more fair engagements between shotguns and autos, pulses and autos, and Midas and autos, a very similar situation like when snipers and scouts try to outgun each other at longs ranges, any of them has a chance to kill first the other one according to the one who was faster, but when a shotgun rushes an auto, is the shotgun the one that has the advantage over the auto and think these close quarters combat weapons deserve a fair fight. Well I really hope you Bungie guys take a look at this, and you guardian comrades tell me what you think about my thought. Every thing is well received :)

  • I have a Haakons hatchet with rangefinder, rifled barrel, and counterbalance that I can outperform most pulse rifles in a 1 on 1. Though the perfect bursts to the head with pulse rifles win every time lol!
