Guaranteed Desolate Item in Sterling Treasures? Not!
Hi Guys,
As per Patch Notes from 'Destiny Update - 6/14/2016':

Does this mean that a Desolate Item is guaranteed from opening a Sterling Treasure?
I've opened several sinces these patch notes, but many only give Chroma's and Spektar Gear.
Opened 40+ packages and only 3 desolate items for Warlock. That's it?
How is the Drop Rate for Desolate Items? I am not spending any more Silver on Treasures that will only give Spektar Shit. There should be at least 1 desolate item from any sterling treasure.
Can someone explain this?

Edited by Eradition: 8/30/2016 7:07:32 AMYou understood it litel pit wrong. They are not guaranteed to drop, but they are amongst the drops that one of will be guaranteed per sterling treasure. And the posible drops are that some of them can drop from sterling treasure but it can all so drop none of them. Loot and sterling treasures are subjects to Rng. Meaining that it is completely random what you get. If you sort of want to count the drop rate just take the posibilitys and divide them by the amount of items you want to get. Every one ofte items will have an equal change of dropping
