I'm back after my month long forced ban vacation from the forums. Thanks Moderator or Ninja I learned nothing.

Tldr skip to the bottom if you don't wanna read my story
I have been playing since day 1 (Yeah make comments saying I am not cause my grimoire is missing 600 pts from ghost).    The only time I have reached max light before TTK was right before VoG came out. Back then all I did was farm for hours and play in the crucible (I miss my suros regime =( ). I played on and off for 2 months then stopped when I got a ps4.    I came back mid HoW and never reached level 34 but that is OK because I didn't finish the endgame content. I was OK with only getting to 32. I didn't deserve to be 34 I wasn't good enough I was a casual player.   When TTK came out all I did was strikes. Since that was all I knew what to do. I got to 295 and was invited to a raid. Really the first raid besides getting carries through Crota. I was the highest light and had the best sniper seeing everyone still had blues and I got blessed with a 1kys with triple tap and hidden hand. We beat golgroth and the sisters.    So casual me went to join a raid group at golgroth on the same character trying to get more armour but of course nothing. So I became a Golgroth sherpa back when the raid was only out for 1 and a half weekend. I eventually did the first part got nothing. I watch some videos on oryx and got a group. Turned into an all first time beating dream team and we beat him first try together.   I felt great knowing I was that .5% who beaten Oryx. I eventually got to 309 then hard mode came out. Took me 3 months to get to 320. I was happy that I finally reached max light which little to no others did (sorry to the forever 319s before April update).   April update dropped which allowed everyone to hit 335 without the raid. I left the tower on April 20th at 326. Did 2 raids got to 330. Then did Coe and got nothing (it amazes me how people say CoE is good to hit max light. Why you lying). After a total of 6 days I was 335 and my friend hit 335 a day before me.   This is a big concern of mine because I'm gonna play RoI a lot the first 2 days to get ready for the raid. If they don't change it I'll be 385 before the second week. The only way you should be able to hit max light is The Raid,   Nightfall(if it is difficult), and Flawless in Trials (not bounties or 5 and 7 wins and defiantly not iron banner). I'm not sure about Iron Lord gear depends how difficult it is to obtain. Max light should be an award not a participation trophy.   Destiny is my favorite game by far and I wanna be grinding for a while to get to the final 400. Unless they add more content which they won't because they are busy working on Destiny 2.
I'm not an elitist I just like the old ways. I was a what you call y1 scrub. But I'm always down for some HM VoG and Crota. Also fix my grammar for me so I can change. I know I didn't have to specify you already will do.
• At the beginning of the April Update, I didn't like the fact that everyone could easily obtain max light. I put it down to me being selfish and wanting to be a "special snowflake," but I eventually got use to the light system. I like the way it is, and anyone should be able to reach max light, even without doing certain aspects of the game. My own playing time has become limited, so I understand not being able to grind for so long. At the end of the day, light is just a number. A player will show their true skill through gameplay.
