Any game that loses 90% of its player base in the first two weeks is off to a rough start.
I'm assuming the constant crashes experienced by PC players and occasional crashes on console have helped drive some people away.
Hopefully they can remedy these issues with patches relatively quick.
The biggest mistake was AAA pricing though. I bet more people would overlook what NMS lacks if it was priced as an indie game.

I tried desperately to make it work on my PC and my PC can run Skyrim really well. But for the life of me I could not make it work. A shame because I was kind of interested in trying it out.
