How to ammo

In times past when there was a time that titans never complained, warlocks never whined and hunter hushed for the first time in hours. Yes indeed, heavy ammo time. Lord Shaxx heir to the flame... who also reversed the curse of this malignant concept called balance in which the only killer is ourselves and while ghosts argue with each other, their guardians die from the stray handcannon bullet. wow... where did that come from? Ahem, well, all the guardians rush to the crates, strategic and strong. Obtaining their ordinance, rockets fly, air cutting rounds commit trajectory. Hunters cartwheel(perfect 10), titans slam into walls, warlocks fall like zapped flies. Win or lose, what a sight! Then the curse... ammo reduced, spawning smothered, glory, now gloomy. Pve suffers, the blade cuts both ways, special ammo stifled, heavy ammo hindered. Primaries... pathetic. You think you are funny Bungie... you're not. This is a joke I can never laugh at, a reality too false, a problem unsolvable. While ammo spawn reduction is marginally acceptable, ammo capacity reduction is atrocious. What we use is arbitrary, in crucible, strikes, even peaceful patrols. I should not be limited by someone or something's standards. Thank you for listening to this guardian service announcement. I'm going to supress a thrall of my choosing, trap it, and build a jungle gym for it so it may jump up and from ledges for my amusement. Edit: So I might make this a thing where I make a post like this based off some of the most popular problems people are having to adjust to. I just made a "how to sunsinger" post so check it out!

  • 1) Snipers (I main one)- Create diversity. - High impact snipers shoot too fast. Slow them down and reward precision. Double body shots are stupid easy. I understand the body and then primary finish (not with TLW from across the map). -Low impact snipers kill in two body shots, but shoot almost twice as fast. Speed up their shots a tad and make them a 3 shot body, but still reward precision and remove the ability to revive snipe. 2) Subclasses - Give love to underplayed. - Sunsingers, so unloved throughout Y1 and so easily shutdown out of super, were untouched throughout the game until recently. Then almost destroyed. VF is now pointless. (I still use this class very well though as I never used firebolts). - Striker Titans are the most powerful subclass as of right now. Something needs to be looked at. (Look at your statistics as with every class). - Void Walker are easily second with their ridiculous ability to gain health instantly. Tone them down a bit. - Nightstalker is better now, except shadestep still has its finicky moments. Little OP when my charged melee or super can't register. - Gunslingers, poor Gunslingers received a nerf out of nowhere. Don't understand why. 3) Weapons - You mean TLW and Grasp? - TLW, OH mighty Word of The Last, where does your range fall off? Your tiny attribute still allows you to shoot accurately over distances. - Thorn and Hawkmoon, there was a time you could fight with TLW and win. Not anymore; may you R.I.P. - Grasp of Malok, get a grasp of reality and become a useful weapon and not one that reigns supreme in all gun fights. - Handcannons, your ghostly bullets still haunt me. -Auto rifles, how I miss seeing you. If only you weren't nerfed and poorly attempted to be put back together. You have nothing on even Humpty Dumpty. -Pulse rifles, if your name is not Hawksaw or Grasp of Malok then take a stand and pulse your voice through the skies. Let it be known you need some love. -Scouts, shutup, you rapists. Sit back down and take a seat since you're fine where you lie. Now, I know some of you will be hurt over some changes such as TLW, but there comes a time where things should be addressed.

    • Honestly Blizzard fixed ammo for multiplayer games and I can only hope other companies follow suit. Give us unlimited ammo but we still have to reload. This would work well with Destiny, no more worrying about running out of our main damage dealing equipment. Other ammo types would still function as normal, picking up boxes to refill it, but our primaries would never run out. Pvp would stay balanced and pve wouldn't be annoying because we don't have to scramble for the ammo that we shouldn't ever run out of.

      • This is extremely true. And very poetic and beautiful, I might add. You might want to consider a writing career of some form. Anyways, I completely agree. Reducing the amount of ammo spawns. Fine, we can adapt. But reducing ammo capacity? Really? That's so stupid. We are futuristic super soldiers who are practically demi-gods and we are limited by a very small amount of ammo! Really bungie!? I remember a time when corrective measure was around. My very first time doing VoG in October of 2014. I got the weapon and I didn't even have boots to increase the amount of heavy that I could hold, and yet it still held 300 rounds of ammo. Three -blam!-ing hundred! The absolute highest I've been able to achieve so far is 150 with thunderlord. I use increased machine gun ammo on my boots and field scout on thunderlord. But for the damage, or lack of damage, heavy, special, and primary weapons do, it's just not enough damage. You'd think that with reductions to damage would warrant an increase in our spare ammo capacity but I guess not. They just keep nerfing weapons and abilities and reducing their power and damage. Then they nerf ammo capacity too.

Bottom line for me is that games are supposed to be fun. Bungie's flirts way too much with making this game more annoying than fun. Running out of ammo isn't fun. Stretching out activities for artificial reasons by the way of new nerfs and/or restrictions isn't fun I know a lot of people that quit playing because they just want to play and have fun not screw around with crap that doesn't need to be in the game and wasn't when they started. Anyway, I love the game, it's still my favorite shooter at the moment. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't getting sick of pointless nerfs being brought in because Bungie constantly under estimate their players ability to crush their content. So hey let's make PvE harder by nerf'ing everything and then blame PvP complaints for it. Lame....

        • Ammo synthesis should be usable whenever. But it should drop alot less, and come in smaller amounts when using synthesis.

          • I'm confused as to why my Longbow gets less ammo than my 1k Stare with the same ammo perks in crucible.

            • I thought the ammo nerf was really going to hurt us PvE players. Fact of the matter is, it didn't. If 4-6 rounds of sniper ammo is enough to force you to change your tactics, there's a bigger problem.

                • This, because it's NOT funny to be able to hold 11 rounds on a sniper (a special ammo pack DOESN'T even give me a full mag). You know what comes in result to this? Everyone looking for ammo perks in their armor pieces. I do that, I have specific armor sets for both Shotgun and Sniper. I also noticed recently that heavy ammo and special ammo perks gives more ammo that the specific ammo perks for specials (and just gives ammo for heavy since we don't have chestpieces with specific heavy ammo perks) in the chestpiece armor, which are (for titan) Twilight Garrison and The Armamentarium.

                  • While we're at it, bring back multiple heavy ammo drops in crucible. It's a pain in the ass to do heavy bounties when there's one drop per match, and everyone gets super sweaty at that time - rightfully so, we are all doing the same bounties after all.

                      • What I don't get is the difference in ammo for each weapon. One hand cannon can have 87 rounds in storage another 112 another 71. Same with any weapon regardless of the perk. I never run anything that would reduce the reserve but every class of weapon is a different amount of reserve ammo. I would like to know the logic of that. I mean should a hand cannon just have say 120 reserve rounds no matter if it's eysaluna or Lord high fixer?
