So I'm on a legacy console, this means that I played my very last iron banner event, until the time comes if/when I choose to upgrade, and if I choose to reinvest into destiny. I got all 3 characters to rank 5, and while there were some annoying matches I still had fun for the most part, and I'll miss it. I'll be upgrading eventually, but right now I'm saving for a down payment for a mortgage, and trying to pay off credit cards. Much more important than any video game. I'm not complaining about not being able to play iron banner, trials, or any of that really. I don't much care anymore, I know they need to move on to current gen and I don't hold it against them I'm not sure where destiny will fit in my life in the future, I'll probably continue to play crucible, but I don't see much point in anything else unless other people want to run the old raids for fun. As far as I know all daily, weekly, monthly and nightfall activities will be inaccessible to legacy players. The fact that they killed the companion app for legacy consoles upsets me more than not having access to the events of roi, why not allow legacy console users to be able to transfer items between characters, I don't see how that hurts anything. Now legacy console players can't access stats, character inventory, or even grimiore, and I don't see why that was a necessary decision to happen, at the very least they could have waited until roi released. Anyways, rant over. Goodbye iron banner, for who knows how long. I enjoyed playing while I could, even if the rewards were sometimes lackluster. I'll still be around in the crucible and I may make it back into the destiny universe for some of the rise of iron experience, it remains to be seen at this point. Have fun all you current gen users, and don't take the app for granted, it's much more useful than many give credit for and I know I missed it this iron banner. TL/DR. On legacy console. Played my last iron banner, got all characters to rank 5. Upset companion app was killed for legacy players. May continue playing crucible.
