Bungie continues to buff them but i still dont think the damage buffs were enough to compensate for the range and low mag sizes they have. I think bungie should increase the dmg back to 22-27 or increase the range. People always run away one shot either because range falloff or the gun just not killing fast enough. I understand bungie doesnt want ARs killing from scout ranges, but the range nerf from patch 2.0 were a lil too much. Even a max range AR like SUROS still have awful range falloff. They need a buff imo, didnt see 1 AR that isnt a bullethose in iron banner. I even seen some mid RoF being used, but no slow RoF.

It seems like the only way to get a kill with an AR without trading is if you catch someone who isn't looking in your direction, and even that is a risk. For a weapon that is supposed to pelt you with bullets rapidly, the ttk is awfully slow. I've lost 1v1s at close and mid range to people using scouts and handcannons. Hell, it seems like you'd have to be a complete potato in order to get killed by one. Tl;dr: All ARs need a buff.

They buffed them by a "tiny" buff, thinking that if they buff them past that they would be too strong. Lel. Hope they get that the range on low rof autos is the problem. Damage too.

They continue to allow hand cannons to kill at scout ranges so why not ARs?
