Fix your servers
I have 155 Mbps download 20 Mbps upload hardwired and I keep getting contacting destiny servers every 2 seconds. Please fix your servers for -blam- sakes

I'll get dc'd or lag on Destiny but every other game works fine, yet apparently it's still our connection that's the problem.

They need to replace the color code system(red bar green and yellow) with an actual ping number. It causes confusion and it could give you a better understanding of what your issue really is.

I run on wifi. 50 down and 10 up. I rarely if ever even have an issue playing. Unless there are known issues.

Your bandwidth is irrelevant at this point, that 155/20mbps ratio of yours only means you can handle a lot of data at one time (in theory). Destiny at top end (12 player Crucible match) sits at a transfer rate of around 700kbps, thats less than 1 meg so your other 154/19 is sitting there doing nothing. Ping is also a false measure more often than not, I know PS users can run a ping test but that only connects to a local server, of course its going to be a low number. If you could ping all the other players during a match you would get a better idea, though in reality only the ping to the host would count, you can add their ping to each other player to your own. When you play, you are playing with people from all over the world. I ran some tests playing Titanfall 2 tech test the other night and was getting a ping of between 160 to 300ms to a US friend of mine (I'm in the UK). Just an example there. The quality of your connection is the important factor, you may have a potentially high bandwith, think of it as a very fat hose pipe. But if there are holes and kinks in it then you aren't going to be getting the most from it. Look online for tools to test the quality of your connection, and call your ISP if you think there is something wrong.

10 RepliesI have 150/50Mbps, 9ms ping and the same problems........but my biggest problem is that i mostly don't stand a chance in Crucible.........because of latency lag.....the most enemies mostly see me at least 0.5 second earlier on their screens..........so when i see them on my screen, i'm mostly already damaged for 80%. Shooting back has no sense..............except if they are alrerady damaged for 90% by my team mates.

I suggest playing Skirmish or some smaller game mode. My brother plays 6v6 all the time, and he experiences more lag in a single game than I do withing several hours, and I have bad Internet too. I think part of it might have to do with the fact that since I'm mat he'd with less people in skirmish, there's a smaller chance I'll run into people from other countries. However it works, I suggest you give it a try. Smaller game modes seem to have much better connections from my experience. I'm not saying I never get lag, but it's worth a shot.

they can't fix what they don't have. your up and down isn't a true gauge of your internet. what is your ping? try and pick a server on the opposite side of the country.

I feel your pain. Only recently started putting effort into pvp and the connection probs and lag is horrible. In this day n age a red (poor connection) should not be allowed. Or track connection of players, if good in pve but shite in pvp instant dismissal.
