Addressing the Gemini...

I may be in error, I'm sure Bungie keeps tabs on weapon usage, but I almost never see this weapon in the hands of a guardian, either in pvp or pve... For it's perks, one increasing armor, one increasing agility... I think that if the current theory of having to pick only one perk were replaced by activating both, making people have to keep alternating between crit kills and body kills, the weapon would see a lot more use. It takes skill to keep a kill chain running that would keep both active and a challenging weapon is often more fun..

  • If it had Zen moment instead of unflinching or an option to switch them like it's perks "one way" or "or another".

  • I use it all the time, it's an extremely solid gun for soloing fights in pve and hitting bosses with groups and it completely destroys in pvp. I've shut down countless snipers with this gun and have gone plus 2.0kd with it in many games

  • i used it a couple of times and it actually can compete pretty well in the current meta. got 700+ kills and 59% headshots with it. i manage to outgun midas too, but at the same time i could just use my treads upon stars or voc, which have the same stats with better perks, and not waste an exotic slot. imo they need to rework the boolean gemini completly. it doesnt feel exotic and the perks are barely noticeable. i think the armor buff doesnt even work, only the agility buff. maybe increase the impact a bit so its an unique archtype just like mida or other exotics (pre-"buff-nerf" red death). the armor perk should either increase the max hp by +5 per stack or replace it and get an overshield of 20hp per stack. agility perk would need some additional jump / speed boost or something, not rly sure what you could do with that one.

    • I actually really like that gun. I break it out once in a while for fun. But your right I hardly ever see anyone use it. Which may be a blessing in disguise because if the nerfers got involved it would turn into a useless vault artifact.

        • I think doing that and giving it Void damage would solidify it all around.

        • I see a lot of folks dislike the scope. Fair enough. But if you take it out several times you can grow accustomed to it. I very much like the gun. I've used it very sparingly, with just over 2,000 k's and a 48% head shot ratio. With MIDA I have over 20,000 k's and the same exact 48% head shot ratio. It's a viable pvp gun (and let's face it you can get the job done in pve with anything so I won't be talking about that area). You can do a search and find TrueVanguard using Boolean in one of his videos, I believe. Currently, I like Hung Jury as a back up to MIDA if I want to equip an exotic in another slot, mostly because of comparable fire and impact rates. I'm a devout MIDA user since yr 1 though, it not only was the first exotic I ever owned, but even after the high caliber round nerf it still offers a great total package perk set that I like using. I've grown so accustomed to it that I know exactly what to expect out of it at all times. I'd consider having Boolean as my day-to-day if MIDA didn't exist........but it all boils down to style of play and what you're comfortable with. Other folks prefer slower fire/higher impact and some prefer higher fire/lower impact. Use what you're comfortable and good with. Period. As far as Boolean's perks are concerned, folks will overlook the possibilities in favor of current popular trends. That doesn't mean the gun can't be effective. Unflinching is valuable in pvp. If you haven't given a gun with this perk a fair try, you should. See how it suits you. A choice between Single Point Sling, Hammer Forged and Perfect Balance is a fairly nice representation. A choice between One Way / Or Another is unique. No other gun offers this choice. If you're a newer player in pvp or have a hard time landing head shots..........combining Unflinching with the Or Another perk (bonus armor on non precision kills stacks up to 3x) is a very nice combination especially on this gun with a 75 aim assist number. Go check Boolean's ttk numbers crit/body shot and you'll find it performs well in these categories compared to other more popular scouts and is superior in the body shot department in some cases. Bottom line - give it a try and judge for yourself. The "popular" choice isn't necessarily the best for everyone.

            • Yup. I just got the gun two weeks ago. Legendary scouts perform better than it does unfortunately. The exotic perk is completely useless. I can get a scout with higher range, higher stability, better aim assist, and it will consistently outperform the Gemini. Some people say to use aggressive ballistics, but that doesn't really solve the problem.

            • I've been saying this forever. Really needs this change. Doesn't make sense that you have to choose to get the affect. Especially compared to.other weapons like red death where you get health regen on every kill... In all honesty, I'd be happy if they just gave it outlaw and reactive reload. Love those two perks for a scout. Especially that archetype. Would make a better weapon. Considering. "Well, you have the crit kill node active and you killed him with a body shot.... oh well."

Idea..., maybe this could be could be on a new weapon, apply the spinning up perk on it. Or what ever it's called. So the the more shots that are fired, the rof increases. That would be a cool exotic. Also apply an amplified zen moment, landing precision shots increases stability and farther increase rof. This weapon would be the base stats of hung jurry. The middle perks would be, High caliber rounds, the agility perk, and quickdraw. This weapon would have 12 rounds in the mag. Also would be a omolon weapon. We could call it.. The enhanced mechanism. I'm so genius.

            • It's not a bad gun per se. However, it doesn't feel like a true exotic weapon either. Some good ideas you guys are posting. Too bad none will be implemented by the developers

            • Ppl keep forgetting that it have aggressive ballistics. Imagine VoC or hang jury that can 3 shot headshot kill. I personally like the scope but I agree the exotic perk need to be better. BTW I hate MIDA scope.

                • Things to do with Boolean Gemini -fix the scope. It's a mix of iron sights plus a red dot sight and it looks horrid. Too much metal in the way. -replace unflinching with outlaw or extended mag or hand laid stock. Remove the "one way" exotic perk, and put it as the passive perk, so that the moment you get the gun, all non precision kills boost armor. Keep the exotic perk as it is. Now you can have both

                  • I really think that the iron sights with the holo needs to go, as well as making both ''One Way'' and ''Another'' active at the same time.

                    • I use it almost all the time in both PvE and PvP and think it's fine. Gun looks and sounds great with good sights and perks that make it feel pretty good while shooting. I can actually do well in PvP (barring teammate, connections, joining late into a full team with heavy and supers and other crucible shenanigans) with great success as I usually go for headshots resulting in a bit of extra agility to move to the next target or to leave the area. I also switch to the Or Another perk when the game is laggy or the host switches midgame resulting in delayed shots (shots that appear on target are suddenly misses) as it is safer to body shot for a larger target which will give that little bit of protection. When switching from other weapons the perks will initially seem like they do not do anything, but after some time, it is noticeable.

                    • It's actually not that bad.. I use it from time to time in PVP and I do pretty well with it.. With aggressive ballistics it flinches the crap out of snipers and with prefect balance its very consistent.. I only tried using it about a month ago after having it forever and I was actually suprised
