A new purpose for warlocks
So I've noticed that warlocks have been getting a lot of hate recently. And by hate, I feel like they haven't been really needed. Sure, a fireborn sunsigner is helpful in trials, but who needs a warlock in a raid? No one. Most raid puzzles/bosses are focused around things that Titans or hunters can do. Yes, a storm caller might be helpful to take down some thrall, but really, warlocks together don't have a purpose, other than to put on a cool light show. Maybe bungie could do something about this.

Warlocks are great in raids, I would never raid without one. Now what we really need is a way to make Bladedancer and Striker good for raids.

Yea sunsingers should be the generally used high level pve subclass for warlocks similarly to how defenders and nightstalkers are for Titans and hunters. I think they should make Viking funeral apply more effective debuffs as well as do something with song of flame to make it more effective. [spoiler]my idea on song of flame: make it so whenever a radiance warlock using song of flame gets an ability kill, they emit a little burst that regens nearby allies supers by like 5%. (Just my idea) [/spoiler]

I'm my group's raid leader/shot caller. Warlocks are good at being in charge.

As a Sunsinger I focus on Orb generation with Sunburst. Although are you on PS4?

1 ReplyNobody "needs" any class in the raid now, id take a full team of 6 warlocks into the raid and do fine. Raid is basically a 6 man strike at this point.

If you argue like that we can remove all subclasses because in the end they can all beat the whole content so who needs the others, am I right ?

1 ReplyActually warlocks are helpful in hard raids considering they can self res negating the perma death. Such as when the Shade of Oryx comes in to attack, instead of a none self res warlock player getting smacked by the sword and risking dying to either 1 hit sworded or getting launched intot he wall and killed by physics a self res warlock can take the hit and maybe survive if they have flame shield.

3 RepliesAre you kidding me? The stormtrance is invaluable for PvE, especially raids! In my opinion, a Warlock has the best mob clearing super in the game.

Ran KF HM the other day with 2 GGs & 3 Nightstalkers as a Stormcaller and they were very grateful for the absolutely ridiculous amount of orbs I dropped them throughout. The 2 GGs ran Celestial Nighthawk on Oryx and we dropped so many orbs they were taking out all the Ogres & knights by themselves.
