God, is this community worse than cod now?
While i truly love the game, i think it's ridiculous to give someone crap about wearing a flawless emblem if they go negative. I understand that elitism is part of the destiny community and there is nothing that can be done to change the culture, but it makes me cringe when i see how low people go i.e " your k/d sucks, you don't deserve a flawless emblem", and " if you don't have a ToM, don't attempt hard mode oryx". Again i love this game, but sometimes i'm ashamed to play with certain people like that.

3 RepliesThis is probably the best community for a shooter or competitive game. CoD and LoL are god awful. Destiny is pretty mild. You ran into a couple kids being cocky and judged everyone

I can verify these people have always been around, way before cod and destiny.

Funnily enough, some CoD players I know have/are thinking about playing Destiny. At least they're two different cultures still, for a time at least.

I truly still believe CoD is worse in almost every aspect in terms of community more than Destiny at its current state.

You know how many people i blocked because of hatred?? And how many times i was denied to play raids because i am not an expert? Just because i have a job and i can't play whole day... Also in the good aspect i have found good people here... trying to help and giving some advice... So everytime somebody ask me for help... i am trying to help... even if i am not an expert.

I hear ya. But I've noticed now that I'm in the forums I find more people who are less elitist and just like to enjoy the game. It was something that was eating away at me for some time.

1 ReplyThis is pretty tame compared to how bad I've seen it get. You should have seen the old Halo boards. Especially Halo 3. And this is back when the Ninjas were much more visibly active. A combination of teenagers with raging hormones, too much Mountain Dew, and the existence of an MLG playlist.

1 ReplyHonestly the community section is the better portion of the forums. There's little to no salt here, just people sharing what they did for the love of the game. And I personally agree with you when I say that the people here are bad when it comes to complaints and stuff. But as with most things there are diamonds in the rough.

Yeah it's kinda sad tho. I didn't play the game for 1 year and everybody sees me as scrub even though I completed the game with every raid back than. It's kinda pathetic that they feel so superior because I can farm their armor/weapon in like 1 week too
