Old Bungie.net exclusive emblems and linking account question/questions.

So currently I have access to Shield of Heroes on a different Gamertag/email, and have access to my main gamertag and email. I am wondering if it is possible to take the Shield of Heroes privilege and place it on my main gamertag by means of unlinking and relinking the emails/bungie.net profiles. Are exclusive emblems attatched/associated with gamertags, bungie.net profiles, or emails? What happened is a few years back (before destiny) I changed the email associated with my gamertag. This in turn made the email associated with my old b.net account create a random gamertag to associate with the old email (since I removed my main gamertag from it.) Currently, I can log into the email/gamertag/bungie.net account with access to the Shield of Heroes emblem, but if I want to use the emblem, I won't be on my main gamertag (I'll be on the auto generated gamertag with no progress in destiny, and no friends/etc) My main gamertag is the one that I would like to have access to the Shield of heroes, even if that means re associating the old email with it. My only concern is that when I unlink the newer email from my main gamertag, I'll lose/forget something important that will cause me to not be able to play or miss out on access to some content that the new email has associated with it, eg. LIVE subscription or the like. Is it possible to grant access to the Shield of Heroes to my main gamertag somehow? Thanks for taking your time to read this. I've read through the help article on combining bungie.net accounts, but it warns that only credentials are combined. I've also read through several other posts regarding linking/unlinking and it has me worried I'll do something wrong/break something if I start messing with the linking feature. The idea of transferring the Shield of Heroes permission has been on my mind for a while, it's only now I'm thinking of trying it.

The Shield of Heroes emblem is attached to the Bungie account. Make sure there is always a PSN connected to both accounts so you don't accidentally abandon them.
