Having Twitter is fine and all, but we have an app! having maintenance notifications should've been in a while ago!
Then maybe a ton of people won't complain, and let's be honest, most of the forum users don't access Bungie from the desktop, where the maintenance notification is delivered on the header.
some players (more than you think) only open the destiny app while playing the game, without realizing there is a maintenance, having push notifications would help with that.
Also, make the notification prominent, like ALERT: SCHEDULED DESTINY MAINTENANCE. Make the Destiny logo red in the notification tray.
Of course another push notification telling when the servers are back.

The toast notifications are always the best way to show information here. I think they've been working out kinks in that system because not long ago I kept getting toasts saying, "content not found" on my android device.
-
I have seen you on the forums for a long time now, and I have one question: Why do you sign your name? No offense, but it makes you appear extremely pompous.
-
Not needed
-
If this would help take away fun then it would be implemented immediately
-
If u look at the news on the app it clearly states it.
-
They have done maintenance almost every Thursday at the same time for as long as I can remember. That's part for the reason it's called "scheduled maintenance". I'm not saying what you are suggesting is a bad idea but all the people that complain about it act like it's some life altering experience. So if that's the case, one can easily remember DON'T PLAN TO PLAY DESTINY ON THURSDAY FOR THIS 4-5 HOUR WINDOW. EVER. There we go.
-
Logic? Let's hope.
-
Bump bump bump it up
-
Dats a good idea
-
Tweets used to be on the app. Not anymore
-
There is a pre-warning when you view the "Help" tab, but I'm not sure how many people actually view it. A pop up would be handy and more informative.

Edited by Mr.Spartan126: 8/4/2016 6:20:19 PMUhhh, TheGreatNike? It's already a feature. Just click on the community tab, and then click news.

Edited by Der Sheff: 8/4/2016 6:40:19 PM
They already do. When you look at the main forum page, they have service alerts. Edit: my bad, it under Community and displays on the News Page, which is the default for when you click on Community. Since you Abe to click on community first before getting to the forums, it's a lack of perception that is getting the better of you.
Edit: A push notification system would be a cool addition. BUMP that idea. That said, the News section of the app does notify users of up and coming maintenance and other things that impact gameplay, so there is a place you can go to get information without using Twitter or the Desktop browser.

All game news and information should be on the app first
-
I'm ACTION BASTURD and I approve this message.
-
Or have our community leaders spend 30 seconds typing "maintenence tomorrow" or something. I really want it on the news page when I open the app while I'm pooping
-
Yes, Bungie use this app please. So annoying that you use Twitter to advertise maintenance
