Wait, can't the Fallen just go back home?
So after watching some lore videos on YouTube, I have a question. What I heard was the Fallen were once called Eliksni and were a peaceful race because the Traveler created an endless supply of ether for them to absorb to live and there was plenty to go around. But all of that changed when Oryx and his fleet of ships decsended upon their planet to rain destruction on them, and when he showed up the Traveler abandoned the Fallen. Which caused the Fallen to flee and search for the Traveler to reclaim it and take back their planet. But my question is this- why the hell aren't the Fallen going home lol? Oryx is dead, and they have their Servitor gods" to generate ether for them. Now, I know some people are going to say "but the Taken are sentient beings, they can control their own will now that Oryx is dead, why would they just give the Fallen their planet back?" To which I would reply-"well in the battle of Twilight gap when the Fallen formed an alliance to destroy the Guardians they almost succeeded, why can't they just do it again with their new SIVA tech?"

I dont remember Oryx visiting any Fallen worlds. Oryx and his Hive ended civilizations, without letting any escape. If the Fallen did escape from Oryx then I'm sure his reason for being in the Solar System woukd be to hunt them down, not avenge his son. Also, the Fallen aren't here because they can't go home. They [i]won't[/i] go home, because their Great Machine is here which they have been chasing for so many years, and it has a civilization defending it from them. Which is exactly why the Devil Splicers have taken SIVA tech to use against us.

2 RepliesAre you ok? The hive did not attack the fallen. That was the whirlwind. It basically destroyed their home world. They think that we "stole" the traveler from them and they want it back.

3 RepliesThey won't go back: the prize that they scoured the cosmos for ages for is right in front of them. Turning back now to a planet that holds nothing but ruins and grandeur lost would be a disgrace to their entire race. They are so close to claiming their prize; the Great Machine, the true Servitor God that they worshipped so long ago and that which abandoned the Fallen in their hour of need. They won't go back. They can't go back. They will fight to reclaim their Great Machine until the last Dreg falls.

2 RepliesWell knowing bungie eventually there will be a threat so great that we will have no choice but to join forces with the fallen in order to defeat it.....ie the flood. We already have Variks who is just chillin in the reef. He could be the envoy between us just like heretic in halo. My guess is the Cabal finally takes us serious and comes to destroy our planet, which is why we havent had a cabal based expansion.

The devils have siva and not any other house so i dont see how any other house would be able to get siva because now devils are being more aggressive to other houses

I think SIVA is the same concept as Oryx. They are basically taken.

Servitors manufacture Ether by taking body parts of fallen and basically blending them up. This is how their offspring is made as well. They have a dwindling supply to manufacture and the traveller doesn't give them any anymore.

1 ReplyWithout knowing much about their fleet capabilities, they might be forced to stay in Sol until they are resupplied. But on a political level, they have no intention of going back. The Great Machine is the only thing they think can give them a home.

7 RepliesSo here is another question, this story is supposed to take place in the far far future, but when you are brought back to life outside the wall you look around and see a bunch of rusted out cars that look more like modern cars than anything futuristic, so was the wall built next to a junk yard? I mean the way the are oriented seems to say that people were hightailing it to the wall.

They see the Traveler's presence as a blessing and it was the center piece of their society, to loose something like that (and see it appear to be stolen by another race) would be devastating for the Eliksni. And second, the Hive and particularly Oryx is assumed to be the one who caused the Fallen's Whirlwind. Have you seen the way the Hive fight?
