I understand it, matching based upon wins but it almost seems a bit unfair when my team can be matched up against players who have less than a .80 KD when we have 1.5s or 1.7s. The reverse can be the same, we can be average players on the same amount of wins as (insert god mode player name with 2.7+ KD) and get absolutely destroyed.
Playing someone way below your skill is a bake sale.
Playing someone at or a little above your skill is competition.
Playing someone who is TWICE your skill is massacre.

Trials of Osiris Match Making: I'm honestly sick of all the people who stream and take "donations" to carry undeserving people to the lighthouse. People like this ruin this game by taking all the fun out of it. It's very dissatisfying when you're 8 wins, already used your mercy, and you encounter another carry team with a 2.6KD 2022 ELO, 2.1KD 1907 ELO, and a .37KD 877 ELO.. I would suggest levels or tiers to be implemented for trails. Once you go flawless(per character), you are automatically moved into the second tier/level of trials with everyone else whose also already gone flawless. This means you will only play fire teams with players who have already gone flawless. If there's a fire team of three, and one of them have already gone flawless the entire team will play in the second tier/level. This would be to prevent carries, give the elite players more skilled challenges, and make the game more fair all around. Once you go flawless a second time(per character) you are automatically moved into the third tier/level of trials with other fire teams who have gone flawless twice. And it will repeat all the way up to tier/level 5. This will allow everyone a chance to obtain flawless at least once per week, per character. Without having to see carries, or people farming for better KD or ELO.

Two Tier Trials IS the answer. Tier 1 is for accounts who have ever been flawless and reward for doing it again are Exotic Emblems, Trials Exotic Weapons/Gear with Elimination perks, exclusive cosmetic items etc Tier 2 for those who've never been flawless with Trials exlusive Legendary rewards Result: the streamers/carrying industry play each other in Tier 1. More and more people go flawless from tier 2 and move up to Tier 1 Win Win?

Edited by iDovahBear: 7/26/2016 6:28:46 AMI just want connections to at least be good enough that nobody's disconnecting halfway through the match. Literally the bane of so many otherwise quality runs. Makes 'enjoying' Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris a bother.
-
What Trials should have is a Ranking system, just like regular Crucible and Iron Banner, and structure matchmaking by rank instead. People who go Flawless or close to it will have no problem getting to high enough ranks. Either that, or somehow structure it to where teams of two or more people who *haven't* been to the Lighthouse DON'T get matched up against a full team of people who HAVE been to the Lighthouse. It needs to be restructured in some way, because at this rate, the only people who get to go to the Lighthouse are people who have been already--90% of which have been Flawless--or people who get carried there by the former. It's like the Lighthouse is an impossible dream for anyone else who doesn't fit this criteria.

Get this. Last week on our 6 wins we faced the same team twice. 3 Titans Scarab emblem with Uni and L.Bow we checked there K/D 2.32 2.84 2.61 Our K/D 1.01 1.20 1.32 Needles to say the first time we got 5-0 The 2nd time 5-3 It was a massacre we didn't stand a chance. I know I will not do ToO again.
-
There is no win count matchmaking otherwise I wouldnt see teams going flawless on my first game.

Edited by Powermix24: 7/26/2016 2:38:15 PMyou guys are all sleeping , unless it's on a dedicated server with connection based MM , MONITORED , Trials will be just casual shit . How can i get better if i'm playing someone from Germany , UK , Saudi Arabia , Hungry , when i'm in Texas .....
-
I'd prefer pure cbmm if they're not going to implement dedicated servers. The signal is crap.
-
No, no, no what they really need is what they did in y1 CONNECTION BASED
-
Would not help. Player base for trials is so small you will still get the same games. Give people a good incentive to play the game mode is the only way to help it. In normal PVP all rewards are the same. Trial should be no different. Rewards from the lighthouse and bounties and after matches should be the same. Light house should just give more of them. Problem fixed. More people will play = better and more equal matches can be found.
-
This is why there is a big separation between level 40s who are trying to become light 335, and level 40s who are using the meta, not stepping out of their comfort zone, and dominating Trials all the way. Why can't 335 light people use other weapons other than MIDI and 1000 Yard Troll? Why?

It goes like this Wins Conection Sbmm Myself and a friend played on our gfs accounts. Barely played anynone decent got flawless. Change to our accounts. Kds doubled I cant see this as coincidence. It was on a Saturday. Some times between Conection and wins there is no1 else to play. More than 10 times in the last month i have played a team at 8 and 0 in my first 3 games. There is sbmm. Sometimes theres no1 at your skill to play.

Edited by ZombieMyNemesis: 7/26/2016 2:23:57 PMI agree totally, played last night with two buddies who are pretty good and I'm average, we got to 8 wins and had played some pretty close and competitive games to get there, we made the better plays and came out on top, that all changed on the lighthouse game, we played 3 super try hard players and got destroyed 5-0, and I'm thinking, shouldn't that lighthouse game be a bit more competitive than that, it's just totally unfair to go against those guys and get blown out 5-0, it's so much more fun to play a game that ends in 5-3 or 5-4, that's where it should be based on skill and match you with similar skilled players.

Trials needs to go back to how it was in year 1

If they break it into skilled tiers the rewards should not be the same, that only makes sense right? Along with the Lighthouse they should create the Dimhouse and the Darkhouse. The Dimhouse (for those with 1.0-1.5 k/d) could see the Lighthouse with the naked eye. The Darkhouse (for those <1.0 k/d) could see the Lighthouse with a high powered Sniper scope. Neither of these two destinations would reward anything of merit, maybe some materials or rare engrams. But hey, why should you get the same rewards as someone who can do a better job than you? That's communism.
-
I agree Every time I play trials I get destroyed by people who are better than me Most of us have jobs and family to take care of I only play like 1 hour or 2 every day
-
Massacre for me is when my enemy's have k/d's three times mine.
My K/D is 0.93
-
I disagree. This is the ranked playlist of Destiny. It already does a lot to keep you from playing the best players in the game with certain in game mechanics, but the purpose of trials is to test your skills and best teams that are potentially better than you.
-
No. No more SBMM. It's already proven to not work.
-
There isn't enough of the population playing Trials to achieve the type of matchmaking you are talking about. It just won't ever happen.
-
Agreed, I hate going into a trials game because it is where all the hardcore try-Hards hang out. The game is supposed to be fun and that is not fun. However I doubt Bungie will change that. Even though it's better for everyone. If Bungie reads this and wants to do this, you can use are kds and light level to decide fair games on a matchmaking system
-
Sorry but with a .8 kd you are not "supposed" to go flawless in trials. It would be fundamentaly stupid to make it easier for bad players then skilled ones to go flawless. Kinda goes against what trials stands for.

Trials and all pvp need to be a separate game not game type
-
Need one 1.4 KD or higher
