I was messing around on the dreadnaught today and saw a low level titan just kinda wondering around looking lost. I sent him a message asking him if he needed a fireteam. He replied saying he was just trying to farm for hadium flakes. So I told him I had an awesome farming route and told him to follow me. For twenty some odd minutes I just led this guy around getting him flakes then I spent an hour and a half getting him over 20 calcified fragments. This guy had no mic and we just talked through messaging. He said thankyou and that he had to go to work and sent me a friend request. It was awesome to be able to just help out a random like people did for me when I first got the game.
Edit- this post is supposed to show new people that there are people willing to help. Amongst the assholes you see littered about these forums there are people that want you to enjoy the game as we do, and sometimes you need a little help. I'm 26 and have no attention complex or desire for praise for my good deeds lol just trying to spread a good thing and keep this game a positive experience.

I'm guilty of ignoring players and I'm guilty of helping out others too. Shoot me a message, lemme know what your working on I got no issues helping. Don't just invite me to the team and not say a thing. Can't help you if you don't ask. Closed mouths don't get fed yo.

Your garbage kd explains everything, too bad so sad your Mida can't do everything for you
-
Scrubs aren't worth my time. They ruined the game for me
-
love doing this sort of thing. good on you bro
-
Good stuff bro. We need more people like you in the community.
-
Today my team mate hit me in mid air after I got heavy ammo and I died so yesh
-
I always help randoms find cal frags but I forget to invite them to my party so when we head to a different area we end up on separate servers. Just food for thought

I once helped a guy with a quest once when I was patrolling Cosmodrome it was one of the taken guys and he was only about 200 light but he was going alone but when I stopped another guy arrived as well and the three of us killed the one in the place where the Devils lair starts and it reminded me of the e3 trailer with the devil tank

I tried to ram and kill a low level with my sparrow but alas, it didn't work
-
I try to help as often as possible... but last time I was in a bad mood and didn't want to help.... If that guardian is reading this, my apologies

I know the feeling recently met a new friend and pulled them through the golgoroth challenge with my clan when we were done they ask what kinda gear we got and we all laughed and said we didn't need anything from that raid. There was a pause and they said wait so you guy literally just ran that raid for me? And my clan said yeah, we may be sarcastic and joke around with each other but when players need help we help them out. And you're right it is hard for new players to find help that's why when ever I'm on a strike or patrol I'll shoot at a guardian then shoot over to a rock that has a ghost or calcified fragment on it. Everyone needs a hand sometimes even the best players. Gg guardian and thank you.

We need more like you.

Nice one. But an hour and a half. Seems a tad long.

Awesome

Good job guardian. Keep up the good work.

It's always fun. :)

Yep! Got spammed in the tower and ended up helping a kid through about 1/2 the vanilla missions to include VoG. Had a lot of fun too.
-
There should be more guardians like him around. I like how he talks about bad players because arses and the first thing that happens in people proving his point.
-
Did the raid twice last night with 4 solid players, last kid was a squeaker that sneeked in under the radar who'd only done normal. He listened and learned and put in a good couple of hours with us. Completed challenge twice, and ran the oryx challenge method with us which he'd never done before coming from the normal raid. Changed my opinion on the younger generation a little.

Way to much boring effort.... but good job
-
Good stuff man

Nice well done even helped without a mic, yeah sometimes I go to the dreadnaught and try n c if anyone needs help with coo or anything good to c folks are still helpful!
-
When you decide to go into the heroic strike loe level cause why not but the newbies are struggling with the strike. You are littetally dragging them through the strike but you plow through because f*k Warsat, I ain't no punk and leaving them alone would be a dick move. Love it every time.

I've revived help from some guys waaaaay back when I started playing, and I've tried to pass it forward whenever possible. I always tell the people I help to try and help someone else if they ever come across someone who needs it.
If you can look past the mountains of assholes in this community, you can see the valley of good-hearted players!
The only thing you can do to realy help people is to warn them. Warn them that this game is dead. Warn them that bungie -blam!-ed it up. Warn them that the only goal of pve is to addict people, not to have fun. The bad rng. Warn them that pvp is broken, laggy and full of assholes, wannabe shooter players. And warn them to not buy the new dlc. Everyone should stop playing after the story mission..... and if they expext more aftet the storry mission.... its just bullshit with the target to addict players with a slotmaschine.
