So I let my niece loose with her own character in skyrim and over the last month or two of her visiting me to play we've had so much fun. She's taken a liking to one handed and magic combos. She runs around the wild of skyrim killing bandits and wolves (someone's gotta kill the little guys while we're out dragon hunting). Every time she uses her weapon she screams "HA CHA" and when she uses her flames she screams "BURN!!! BURN!!!". Best thing I've seen so far is at level 6 she got brave a decided to take on the guards of Whiterun. She killed a few and took off running for her life. It just goes to show that skyrim is a special sort of game. The xbox 360 controllers a little big for her hands but once they reissue it for current gen that'll fix that issue.
Edit: her father has played the game and gave the ok for her to play it. I really don't care whether you guys think skyrim is appropriate. The game may be rated "M" but 90% of actual parents rate it closer to 12+. I did some extra research because some foreign jerk said America sucks because we let our children play these games. Again I don't want your opinions on my "parenting".

One handed and magic combo is the best

Edited by qy: 7/9/2016 6:19:20 PMI can only see Skyrim now as the way i've modded it. It's just funny to imagine a little girl going through what i did. Put it this way. -come back after long hiatus, load into whiterun -try and remember which mods i installed -accidentally kill a dog that i didn't see when trying out destruction spells -whiterun guard catches me -YOU HAVE COMMITTED CRIMES etc etc -see theres a dialogue option i didn't remember -"isn't there some other way i can pay?" -click it without thinking -both characters strip naked in the street -whiterun guard is HUNG -start going at it right there -Braith just stands there and looks me in the eyes as I'm being f**k'd by a burly nord -quit game Back to Warframe then

360 controllers are smaller than standard XB1 controllers...

She's going to be a killer in the future.
jk jk
Lmao people and their opinions.. let your niece kill some damned bandits. Big whoop.. at that age she isn't retaining half of what she may hear anyway. Side note, show her some Giants next time. :D

That's awesome!

HA CHA

Too bad the skyrim combat is bland and easy. The content is good, it's just the actually gameplay is garbage and makes me not want to play it.

My 6yo loves to play she doesn't really like to fight just shoot fire balls into the sky and jump off waterfalls and swim...had to make an argonion for her so she would stop drowning haha... She did almost kill a dragon once she refused help and was so sad when she died...

Now I want a kid.
-
That's awesome!

That's awesome

Not being funny but what exactly makes this a special sort of game? You could let her play anything and you'd get the same reactions from slicing shit up or burning stuff. Stop with the Skyrim dick riding, it's getting real old.

Edited by Murph Tha Smurf: 7/9/2016 4:29:32 PMIt goes to show, Pokemon is harder than skyrim.
skyrim's good too though.
Not sure an 18+ game is suitable for an 8yr old.. but hey, that's just me.
-
On YouTube, there's an 80 year old woman that plays Skyrim, but I forgot the name of the channel
-
Probably better than my obsession with grand theft auto 3 was ( •-•)
-
Can't imagine how annoying those screams are.

My one year old takes my Wii U tablet when I'm playing Xbox and starts to play with it. She has no clue what she's doing lol
-
Did she try and fight a giant yet? Please tell us her reaction when she does.
