Bones of Eao, the only viable hunter exotic?
So I've noticed the trend of most hunters run bones over any other exotic. Personally I don't run any exotic armor (besides bones from time to time) because none feel like they give any huge bonuses or advantages.
Maybe I'm just being overly critical but do hunter exotic feel extremely lackluster to anybody else as well?

No but they are the most versatile exotic for hunters. You can use them for all 3 subclasses. Great for shotgunning as they give a better vertical game as well as closing gaps. By far the fastest way to travel besides titan skating.

Titans probably have some of the most useless exotics, I mean those those Don't touch me gauntlets look pretty good compared to empyrean bellicose

2 RepliesBones are a wasted exotic IMO. Extra jump is useful in just a couple of situations. Fun? Yes. Practical for most situations? No. Kepri's Sting is the most versatile and best exotic IMO.

The only exotic I use in Trials in The Tarantella chest plate.

Pretty much everything Ahamkara related is great. Shout out to Nighthawk and MoTM.

Bones is good for platforming during raids. Skyburners is great for PvP. Dancing Machines is good for PvP/PvE. Kepris is good for PvP. Pretty much all the exotics are pretty decent.

I use bones of eao/better control exclusively, regardless of subclass. The speed and agility you gain is incredible. I feel naked without them.

I use Crest of Alpha Lupi for everything :/. I would use Knucklehead if it didn't look so ugly. We need a chest piece that gives you an extra grenade charge for every grenade(Maybe change the Lucky Raspberry?). Maybe boots that make you slide further and jump a little higher for shotgunners? Improved Mask of the Third Man, Graviton slightly increases the distance of shadestep, Young Ahamkara's Spine increases the damage of Tripmines so it can one shot more often, Knucklehead has relentless tracker along with third eye for primaries, Arachnid has a similar effect as Obsidian Mind (remove the old perk I suppose), and Don't touch me reduces incoming primary damage when the perk triggers so you can run away. Thoughts?

I find that bones is very useful when shotgunning as it gives you that extra height and control on your double jump but for a nightstalkers sealed ahamkara grasps work extremely well as well as the young ahamkara spine for gunslinger but really it's all preference

Call me old fashion, but I love to run with don't touch me, alot pve it helps me die less with my aggressive play style. Sometimes even in pvp when I am shotgunning and it comes down to melee hits I get a extra shot on the other person.

Celestial Nighthawk, especially now that Golden Gun deals 100-130% more damage than before. For as much as people bitched about the 10% Throwing Knife nerf, everybody seems to have ignored that Golden Gun is amazing now.

Double smoke from sealed ahamkaras grasps is very useful. I treat smoke as a second grenade and/or a way to get out of a sticky situation (I never used wombo combo) so having two is extremely helpful for my play style. Tarentella is the clear choice for arc blade and ahamkaras spine for gunslinger (nighthawk for PvE). Bones are a good exotic, I think there are better options for all subclasses though.

No, Hunters have pretty good exotics. I usually use the helmets and gloves. I just need to re-roll them to fit into my build.

If you don't have multiple armor sets to get you stats where you want, while switching armor pieces, bones is a good all around exotic. But if you have the flexability to have different armor sets, for different subclasses, there's a few others that are good. Aclyophage symbiote is a pretty decent gunslinger helmet, or night hawk in pve for bosses. Each are situational.

I run blade with tarantella and tier 5 intellect and discipline

Most exotics are situational, but bones can always be used.

I run my BD with tarantella and the discipline max out and tier 4 Intellect. Plenty of skip nades and arc blade.

Nighthawk, knucklehead and gravitron are good choices. Hawk just makes GG a beast on bosses. Gravitron lets you use shadestep which is awesome for evading. Knucklehead is great for seeing who's coming at you at all times.
