Hi I was wondering what some good ways to grow a Youtube channel are? I have a channel with a few Destiny videos and other games but I don't know what to do really content wise. I've tried live streaming and I cant really get any views except for my friends . I am limited to making videos with the Xbox One 5 minute capture system and I am stuck using Windows Movie Maker. Does anyone have any ideas for what I could use to edit? I need something cheap not super expensive but also gets basic things done like putting pictures on video clips and zooming in on videos etc. I'm also looking for one where I don't have to pay monthly just a one time buy, because Youtube is more of a hobbie and I just do it for fun. I'm just looking for ideas and am not begging for subs. Maybe a few and some helpful suggestions.
Thanks
Spaiden

Step 1) don't make a channel focused on a single game and keeping up with them, they get boring and die quickly. Step 2) playthroughs are fun to watch. Step 3) you could go with making commentary or not. If you aren't a funny person then i wouldn't recommend it.

Click bait and follow the trends

Collab with bigger youtubers.

Be a scumbag, do top ten videos, bribe people with shout outs to boost your sub count, and basically just act like a total prick. Remember, it's not about what the fans want, it's about boosting your sub count and profit by any means necessary.

It's a word called...
Minecraft
Just have fun making your videos, play games you love, and try to get some friends in with you. They can usually help keep a relaxed atmosphere, as well as make some funny moments with you

I'll subscribe to help out. At first it'll be hard but like the snowball effect you'll get bigger

"Talent" is the answer. Or become a news channel because you can't come up with actually creative content.
