Draw top overall score doesn't count to iron banner bounty
I'll be the first to admit I'm generally not great at pvp and destiny is the only game where i have tried.
So apart from rare moments of triumph where I get as high as middle table I'm generally near the bottom.
But I'm trying to do IB and a weekly bounty requirement is top overall score which I've never held any hope for.
Now imagine my surprise when the other 5 guys do worse than me and I come top with a 1.57 kd 11 k 7 d. Makes a happy change tho needless to say we got slaughtered!
Revelation hits me that I may have actually done the aforementioned requirement but when I check I see I haven't. With fear I check the game stats and find 0.67 kd 10 k 15 d has the same score. How this was worked out I have no idea. He had 2 more assists and that's it.
Knowing my lack of pvp achievement I'll never see top spot again and so it seems awfully cruel that we both lost out on this.
Bungie for sanitys sake let a draw count!

If your kills were that close, he could definitely have had the same score. If you guys lost badly, like you said, you likely wouldn't have finished that bounty step anyhow. It's for getting the highest score over [u]both[/u] teams.

The same thing happened to my clan mate. Mine worked even on the losing team. It does seem glitched.

Edited by BornANew2020: 7/3/2016 3:16:40 AMActually the top overall score is including the enemy team and your teams score. You may have tied best score on your team but that game in question the top player on the enemy team had over 2000 points.

Well I'm shocked. Had a break, did some pve and ate. Came back and smashed a few games. 2nd highest on 2 and 1st with 2.33 kd 21k 9d 400 points above the next guy. And on twilight gap which as a map generally I hate.

Just keep working at it. Had a buddy that was going constantly negative when we played earlier in the week. He snapped me yesterday showing he beat out everyone and came out on top. Patience and practice.

If you draw with anyone its not counted. If you tie the game in anyway, its not counted. And if someone from the enemy team has a higher score, EVEN IF THEY LOST! it doesnt count. You must have the highest score, indefinitely, across both teams in the entire match. I never have a problem with this since im the slayer and am always the top scorer in any game mode (except perhaps some matches in rift) I know this can be annoying for alot though, my friends end up getting me to play their characters pr they play a match on their own without me to get top score lol

It isn't because you guys tied it's because the guy on the other team got 18 kills & 2,300 points.

I got second top earlier and somehow completed the gold IB bounty. Maybe it's bugged? And I'm pretty sure we lost that game (it was super close).

If it helps i was a terrible pvp player. Found out i was near blind and needed glasses. Got glasses. Got alot better at pvp. Even got top score of quite a few winning matches. After i finished hours of pvp i realized i abandoned that bounty thinking i would never get it haha. I guess i can still get it back and go again. Still hurts the feelers knowing i could have it already

1 ReplyWow. That makes it much worse but better at the same time as I didn't miss out on a technicality! Top score from other team was 800 points higher. This is 1 bounty I'll never achieve.

Basically look at score all the way on the right of the post match summary. If your score is highest. You win. Tip: play during the day as less people play. It usually takes me a little while to do. This time I got in in like my 3rd match. I was impressed. Other people aren't haha

Yes seeing as you were slaughtered that means top of board on opposing team was higher score.
