Thorn Is Coming Back to Year 3
It hasn't been officially confirmed, but after reading the weekly update, it might as well be.
If you read the last paragraph, Deej says that they're "making you wish you weren’t born when we shoot you with the Thorn – and if poison doesn’t kill you, follow up with Gjallarhorn."
Deej doesn't write these updates without reason. There's usually a meaning in the text, and did this one expose itself. We already know Gjallarhorn is coming back, and it looks like Thorn is too based on the way he phrased the last sentence.
What do you guys think? There's definitely a legitimate reason to believe Thorn is coming back, whether it's the exact same or with a changed perk or two.
Edit: So a couple guys told me that line was from the movie of the week. Keep in mind that I made this post without watching any of the movies because I don't really care for them. Nevertheless, I still think there's a reason why Deej used a line from a video in a blog, one that specifically mentions the Thorn.

Recently after the fixes to its DOT I don't see why not its a 3 shot kill in the head like other hand cannons and I love thorn so much I have a replica on my desk

Still a believer the complaints about Thorn were at least a little overstated. This is how I viewed it in pvp: When I was hit by it, at least I immediately knew what it was. What did I then do? I backed up every time to regroup. I never was afraid to take on someone using it, I just didn't let it take me by surprise and insist on an instant standoff. Was it used a lot? Yes. Did that ever bother me? Never.
