Titans, I think I have a solution to the Shoulder Charge dilemma. Can I get your opinions? (Poll)

I don't want to see you guys nerfed. However, with things the way they are now, the forum babies will begin to cry nerf on your Shoulder Charge which will restart the horrible domino effect that is, "Every class trying to nerf the other one".
My suggestion is a simple one. I don't want your perk nerfed but it's been abused lately. So I've been thinking of ways to balance it and finally hit me.
We don't need to nerf the target acquisition or the distance, we don't need a cool down timer, we don't need it to take up an energy charge, and we certainly don't need to stop 1hitKOing.
However, to stop another nerf war from happening would guys agree to putting a -1 Armor effect on Shoulder Charge?
It uses the same principal of the perk Blink, in that it has a -1 Recovery Stat attached to it.
This would stop Titans who are abusing it from just running around relying solely on SC, giving other Guardians a chance to stop them before they use it.
SC should be used I'm situations where you turn a corner and intercept a guardian who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
It shouldn't be used as a discount pseudo shotgun. You shouldn't be running up to an enemy Guardian who is 100yrds. away, with the intent that you're going to shoulder charge them, rather than use the guns in your hand.
So I'll ask again, to prevent another nerf war and for the sake of balance would you be okay with having a -1 Armor Stat attached to shoulder charge?
P.s. I think we should discuss all balance issues like this from now on. Rather than demanding a nerf on a perk or class, let's ask that class to negotiate with us and offer a solution to what our problem is and work it out that way until agreeable terms are met.

Edit: A fellow Guardian named COOKIEMONSTER79 has also suggested a -1 to Agility rather than Armor and I think that his suggestion would work just as well if not better than mine.

Im of the opinion that shoulder charge should be ended by bullets. What I mean is simple... if the titan is getting nailed by bullets they drop out of SC. Put a little tactical decision making into SC.

-1 armor would be more or less irrelevant, as the only combat is shotguns or something that one hits. -1 Agility would change more, less speed in the Titan skating would make it more approach skill based and easier to combat, but overall just as effective

Sure. Make it easier for me to shotgun Titans shoulder charging me. Makes no real difference.

Shoulder charge is fine. Titans have been and still the worst class for pvp. There was maybe a few weeks where our hammers were a little OP but they were fast to over Nerf them. I know a few of u will chime in and argue that Titans are the best but overall I think they are the weakest.

4 RepliesCompletely ridiculous. A striker Titan coming in for a shoulder charge isn't attacking or avoiding in-coming fire. They already have their defenses down & you're suggesting a reduction in armour? I'm not sure if you're riding the 'nerf Titans' wave or if you're serious. If you're serious then I'm guessing you get shoulder charged. If you're getting shoulder charged often you should reflect on your play style.

6 RepliesIf you nerf Shoulder Charge, you [i]have[/i] to nerf Juggernaut the same way. Nerfing Shoulder Charge will only cause players to use Juggernaut more often until that itself gets nerfed. When it comes to balancing, you need to have some logic to these types of things. Shoulder Charge and Juggernaut are arguable the same thing. Both are activated after a short time of sprinting and both have like a 2 second cooldown. Here's my opinion on how to balance Shoulder Charge and Juggernaut... The cooldown should be at least 8-10 seconds. The spam ability is far from balanced and annoying to play against, especially with the ability to "Titan Skate". This wouldn't be a nerf of any sort, just a fair balance of increasing the cooldown time of the ability.

2 RepliesIts fine as it is. Didn't notice this option, so just throwing it out there. PS main Warlock, majority of my time is Voidwalker. If the big arse titan gets over to you before you see him, fair play to them. Radar top left is helpful for spotting them. Fusion rifle seems to stop them, I suspect a shotgun or sniper would also do the trick. Its class balance, super small radius and big risk to use. It's nice for the class without blink to have something in exchange.

What a coincidence. As soon as Hunters and Warlocks get rightfully adjusted they suddenly decide Shoulder Charge is an issue. How pathetically unsurprising.

I've canceled out so many SC just by paying attention to my radar and surroundings. Pay attention to whats going on and you should do fine against SC. A titan subclass was already nerfed.... Just leave them alone

Entered this thread with a, "No absolutely not" mindset but a -1 to armor is a small enough change that I'd be okay with. However I don't think it will satisfy the nerf crys, so in the end we'd take a nerf for no reason.
