I voted lettuce!
I think I speak for most when I say this Heavy and Special ammo nerf hit in the wrong places. It has not affected PvP at all, but has slapped PvE players across the face.
The effect of the Special and Heavy ammo nerf on PvE is that you will find yourself being out of ammo much more often, and wondering how the hell you're already out of Special/Heavy! This is affecting all endgame PvE activities, but it's hitting Raids the hardest.
Think you'll have enough Spindle ammo to hit the Warpriest for the whole damage phase? Think again. Think you'll have enough Special/Heavy to hit the Sisters for the whole damage phase both times? Think again. (I'm pretty sure ToM is a satire weapon) Think you'll have enough Special/Heavy to keep damage on Oryx? Think again.
PvP on the other hand is still special-reliant as ever. Now, I know some of you guys and gals out there aren't running a Sniper/Shotty as your primary. (NLB and Universal Remote are excluded :P) And I'm sure most of you aren't completely special-reliant. But there are atleast two extra skrub players on each team every game that forget they have a primary weapon, and we all know that is true.
The point of this terribly long rant is this: The Special and Heavy ammo nerf was a fail. A big fail.
But I have an idea to propose that could be a solution! Nerf Special ammo! Now you're probably thinking; "What the hell is this asshat talking about?!", so I will answer that question as well as I can. The nerf was ill-placed, but it was in the right area. Bungie, you need to adjust the amount of Special ammo you receive per crate! Instead of picking up four rounds per crate, you receive two rounds.
I have proposed this idea to everyone that I play with, and they all (Myself included) seem to think that this will finally balance Primary/Special use in the crucible without screwing PvE players!
What do you guys think? If you agree, that's great! Show your support by liking or commenting so this could be seen by Bungie! If you disagree, let me know why, or maybe make your own solution that could be more effective than this!
But please, try to remain civil. I'll even like your ideas to move them up the bar! (Even if you have an idea I don't agree with! All of your feedback is equally as important as mine.) Anyone who decides to go ape-shit on me will be muted, and I advise you do the same.

1 ReplyI'm not just running out of heavy and special, I'm running out of primary too. Before April I never ran out of special or primary in pve, now I'm lucky to even get three boxes of primary ammo to drop.

1 ReplyI like the idea, hell, I like any idea that will restore my sniper & my shotty to usability in PvE. I do not even bother with them now, I just run my sidearms & my fusions. I sometimes carry 1 sniper with me, just to scope the scenery nowadays. If I need something with more range for the adds, then I now switch to my scout. I have an idea, why not make a piece of armour that makes your equipped primary do critical damage with massive flinch to anyone using a sniper or even a shotgun. Regular damage if they are not equipped, so it ONLY affects people using those 2 weapons. Then they will have to get the first shot off or die. Even if they manage to kill you, if your shot lands, then they are still rocked & the next player can kill them. Just a thought.

1 ReplyEdited by Zoey: 5/21/2016 11:07:00 AMORRRR just put Crucible back to Vanilla and stop nerfing everything, fast kill times, special and heavy drop from opponents and spawn more frequently, weapons are actually powerful, and make Crucible FUN again

8 Repliesi've thought of the same thing, that and they need to stop people (like myself) from spawning in with more ammo simply because they have a special ammo perk and then another specific ammo perk to increase when they start, most of the time i go shotgunning i have 14 rounds to start with... that shit isn't fair to others who can't do that.

2 RepliesI like your idea about this, but okay consider this, I'm kind of going to nitpick you here. Instead of two.. Make it three. If you have Invective, with full auto, and a FAST full auto at that. On many occasions I've fired two in place of one. And really... Unless you're a 1000 Yard Stare Noob being a jerk to everyone one bullet isn't much a difference. But what do I know about Destiny's mechanics
