why do people hate anime lovers?
I will never understand why people hate anime lovers.??.??.?? It's just another type of tv show. I mean really people can like what they want. Some people like sports, others like news, and the few who like keep up with the Kardashians (close enough). It's just what people prefer to watch when they get home from school or work.

I couldn't care less if anybody likes something or not. What makes things grating and makes people angry with people who like something is when they take it to all manner of rabid fandom, making sure everyone knows how much they love whatever and make the thing into something bigger than it really is. It could be with anything. The issue here with anime stuff is that a generation of people have uncontrolled and unlimited access to all manner of it and take it to ridiculous extremes of fandom and too often into depravity. When taken to the point of extremes and posted on sites like this with near religious zeal, it becomes revolting.

Because its the cool thing to do. Just like how video games were dissed by cool kids, and how computer techs were dissed by cool kids, yet now everyone games, and most people try to identify as a nerd or geek over a jock. It's a phase that the less than mature have to go through because their parents never taught them better. Or they chose not to listen to their parents.

If you want to watch anime sometimes you have to be open to new ideas that might not make sense at first. Most people can't keep an open mind and it's easier for them to just hate people who watch anime. A lot of American shows suck a lot and personally I prefer anime but that's just my opinion
