Do you guys remember what each class was supposed to specialize in?
Hunters - Speed, stealth and quick kills
Titans - DPS tanks, defensive line breakers
Warlocks - Recovery, defensive supers
What they are now:
Hunters - Stealth, defensive supers
Titans - Speed, quick kills
Warlocks - Defensive line breakers
There need to be changes to the classes if the bitching should ever slow down. Each class should be doing what they were always meant to do.
These are the following changes that need to happen:
Hunter - Hunters need to be the fastest class, not Titans. They need to be NINJAS
General - Going invis should take you off the radar. Invis guardian is already easy to spot, so they should at least not appear on the radar.
------ Gunslinger - extend it's duration ever so slightly
------ Bladedancer - Increase base agility, and greatly reduce the cooldown on blink WHILE THE ARC BLADE SUPER IS ACTIVE.
------ Nightstalker - Instantly suppress supered enemies that are hit DIRECTLY by the shadowshot ANCHOR ITSELF. Tether time should remain the same
Titan - Titans need reduced speed and increased armor. They should be TANKS
General - Decrease speed gained from Increased Control glide. Slightly quicker melee speed to make up for the lack of range.
------ Sunbreaker - Needs an increase in armor like before the nerf. Proximity removal was warranted, but armor nerf was not.
------ Striker - Fine as is.
------ Defender - Speed up the super animation. I find myself losing the super to a snipe before it even activates. It is possible to lose your super this way.
Warlocks - Can't be the class to replace the Titans in breaking defensive lines. They are supposed to be the ones with the back up plans, not force other players to fail at using theirs.
General - Reduce the frequency in which they gain their grenades. Increase the frequency in which Warlocks charge their melees.
------ Sunsingers - Speed up the self-res animation or allow them to spin while self-res-ing. At this point and time they are sitting ducks when they res.
------ Stormcaller - Fine as is. Yes, seriously.
------ Voidwalker - Fine as is.
What do you guys think? Any thoughts or suggestions?
Constructive arguments only. No need for salty rants.
And before anybody asks, I main a Hunter. But I love all my characters. This may just be me, but I believe that the people who have a lot of time played on each class are the ones with the more valid arguments. We are the ones with the most experience, you know...
TLDR; Read it you lazy bum
Edit: Someone mentioned that if the hunter were to get these changes, they would need decreased armor. Makes sense.

So, if titans gain increased armor and warlocks are left mostly the same, every titan would win every single one on one gunfight with every warlock where they are equally matched. I don't think this is a terrible idea, but I also don't think this will ever really work for an fps with all kinds of ohk weapons and special abilities. If the tank character can do just as much damage as the agility or regeneration character using the same weapon, then the tank will win every fight simply because they have more hitpoints. I might be wrong, but I don't think this will ever work for Destiny because everyone can use the same weapons and deal the same dps

I just want my Hunter to feel special. I play as a titan or warlock and feel op and super cool with all the special abilities and mechanics, but my Hunter just feels average. Maybe because I play on him too much, but I would like him to have a specific role.

Hunters are by far the fastest class... On foot. No way should someone be able to out run a jet pack in a straight line.
-
I think the classes are well balanced. The only thing I would do is add an over shield to a gunslinger.
-
Where was it ever released that Titans are tanks? And Hunters are still the fastest. Ever seen a Titan maintain speed turning tight corners? No. If anything, a Titan is like a bull.
-
And bro! Bungie has never advertised Titans to be a slow Tanky class, people need to stop with that!
-
Your opinion seems biased towards hunters! That's just how I see it!
-
Classes are fine as they are.
-
You wanna be a fast Hunter and slow down Titans but give them armour. OK How much armour 30% more? Hunters can have an armour decrease at the same time as well, its all about balance remember and this just sounds like a hunter buff as is.
-
Unnecessary.
Do you guys remember what each class was supposed to specialize in? Hunters - Speed, stealth and quick kills Titans - DPS tanks, defensive line breakers Warlocks - Recovery, defensive supers
Can you point me to where Bungie said this? I was under the impression each class can play any role given subclass. I mean each one has a Tank, Support and DPS type of build. Plus this easily goes with where you put your stats into when it comes to Armor, Recovery, and Agility. I think you're thinking to much into the classes. The game isn't made to diverse you into a specific role. Instead it gives you multiple choices that can easily be matched with whatever character class you chose.

Did... Did I just find the first need post that wasn't just because you got killed by a certain class? Wow, I think I did.

Great post!

Realism and Nova Bomb don't go in the same sentence.
-
Invis does take you off radar though

Titans are not tanks.

I don't like the Titans getting the speed reduced. That's what makes a Titan really fun. I also don't like trying to fit each class into the classic roles. I play all 3 of my characters as well. I think they are good as they are now, each class had a play style that works really well for it, but all Play styles are viable with experience on the class.

I agree with almost everything. The reduce grenade frequency, I'm not so sure about. Warlocks are kind of a grenadier class, along with the counter to every counter. Every one of their subclasses has some way to instantly get a grenade back up in no time. Warlocks are the tanks right now though, with the least maneuver ability and the highest possible roaming super armor (apart from defenders of course, sense ward of dawn is technically a roaming super). Titans are too speedy to be true tanks, so for now leave the sunbreaker changes. If bungie actually did know how to make a tank it sure as hell wouldn't be like today's titans. Hunters should be like pesky flys, but also a high-stake high-reward class, hence to why gg has no armor and why bladedancer requires you to get ridiculously close to an enemy. Nightstalker I have no problem with either sense I think hunters are also a trapper class, like a real hunter. To me, abilities should apply to the class as well. Hunters get the most supers, warlocks get the most grenades, and titans get the most melees (they would have all their abilities, but their respective abilities would just come about more than the others).

None of the above. Bubble Titans need buff to blessing. You should be able to eat any one shot except a super.

Not bad

Selfless bump.
