Hey y'all, just thought I'd make a post with all the talk of an upcoming September update and the speculation about it being Cabal based. Hopefully, if it is, there's a villain that lasts more than 12 story missions and actually gets some depth. In all honesty, Oryx was cool and all but we roasted him pretty easily and we probably won't see him again, at least for awhile. If the main villain of the DLC happens to be the Cabal Emperor then I doubt he/she'd put itself in harms way and let itself be killed in a raid. Anyways a guardian can dream... So back to the main point my favorite enemies from favorite to least favorite are: The Cabal, Fallen, Vex than Hive. 1. The Cabal are a cool bulky race which is something I have an affinity for. (Watch me play a fighting-game and I always choose the heavies.) Furthermore, they need to be fleshed out more and there is so much Bungie can do with them like more specialized versions of Cabal (jetpack, flying suicide-bomb-running Cabal!) and so on so forth. I also just really like their aesthetic. 2. The Fallen are my second favorite because they are also cool looking and I like the space pirate theme (reminds me of Metroid). I think if the City NEGOTIATED for ONCE than maybe they can become allies and fight together. I mean, they both like the Traveler and the Fallen aren't even inherently part of the Darkness, so why not? (Not to mention, they had the Traveler first and the Traveler supplies them with their life-source, ether) Couldn't the Vanguard just say,"Hey, the Traveler is kind of... dormant? We don't think it can make ether anymore." Then they can work together to bring the Traveler back to life. (I mean, Variks is a good guy. Why not House Exile? Cayde-6 can be their Kell. Check Grimoire Fallen Legends 1 to see what I mean.) Plus, I love their lore and all their different designs with Skolas' and Taniks' being my favorite designs. 3. The Vex because who doesn't like robots? If they are in fact truly evil then I think they pose the biggest threat in our galaxy with their time and space shenanigans. Their designs are awesome and I enjoy fighting them as well as marveling at their architecture. 4. The Hive. I don't hate them or anything, their designs are not bad and their lore is the deepest but I feel that they are overused and I'm sick of going into the Hellmouth and the Dreadnaught all the time and I just want to see a different type of environment. I also have the feeling that the Cabal, Fallen and Vex aren't even actually a part of the Darkness like they said somewhere in the beginning of Destiny, "Oh, we must push back the forces of the Darkness" something like that. Even though the Vex worshiped the Black Heart it was only because they didn't know what else to do. Well anyways, those are my favorite enemy factions in order, what are yours?
