Would you be embarassed if your dad played video games with you?
I am not. We have 2 CPUs and a laptop, so I can play computer games with my dad like age of empires, and whenever a good game comes out, he may buy it or pay for half of it.
For example, today I am getting advance wars dual strike for my DS. But I only have 16 dollars? So my dad says "advance wars? I have been curious about what that is like. I will just pay for the rest of it for you".
Anyone else have a dad like this?

My dad played (Halo with me and my bro) Halo 2 with me, my bro, and sis, he did okay except he was fighting me and my bro and we are the only serious gamers in our house, so we beat them easy they only got one kill but it was me he threw a grenade and I went for cover cause my shield was down you can probably guess where I went.

well me and my dad beat halo 1 on legendary and halo 2on heroic on co-op PS he likes 1 more than 2 he says thay made it more linear PS i tell him he's crazy [Edited on 9/3/2005]

My doesn't play but he watches us sometimes. he did play crimson sky's once, he had his pilots license years ago.

I don't see my dad often, I never fully understood why he does what he does...he tried playing Halo and I covered his ass every time, I felt I was protecting him, not Chief. I would be honoured if my old man could play games as well as me...true friends are in short supply these days.

i like it when my dad plays games with me but he likes counter strike and half life and when he plays halo with me he just laughs cause its his first time playin halo. my dad is like the computer king and he always on working and if he gets free time he'll play with me or he'll play tribes or something

the only time my parents ever played with me is when i rented Mario Golf for the N64 a few years back.... turns out my dad sucked and that my mom was AMAZING.... they never played again after that, but once in a blue moon my dad will watch me play halo 2 (but i don't know why...)

My dad never plays but he watches. One time we played Yuri's Revenge together and he owned me so badly. He likes strategy games a lot.

That would be pretty flippin sweet. Except my dad is isn't used to console controls (I really mean [b] not [/b] used to them) . He used to play Descent on the PC like no one's business, but it is a time long past.

Oh dear - I tried getting my Dad to play Halo 2 with me once - and only once. The only embarassing thing was how bad he was - I think he's got that mental block you were talking about G3oFF. No matter how many times I told him to 'look where you're running!' he consistantly ending up looking at either ceiling or floor, and not anything between. It was sad and painful, and a day to be forgotten by all.

The only video game my dad and I played together was... [and these are hella old] Mario Kart, Bust a Move, and Street Fighter II. Hahaha, now that I think about it, my dad OWNED me, yes, owned me, in Street Fighter II - but only with Zangief [spelling?] He mastered his special attack, the pile driver. Off topic: my favorite character is Ryu and Ken [basically the same characters though]

I play alot of videogames with my dad , but only on the PS 2 since he's a fanboy . I keep kicking his ass at Tekken though , no matter how many hours and sleepness nights he spends into practice :)

got my dad to play RE4, not much bounding but something we could talk aobut or i watch him play. my dad doesn't really like console games, so he sticks with the PC, he wants to try CS:S.

for some reason my dad has a strange mental block that stops him from being able 2 play he cant control the cameras or anything anyone elses parents like this?

My dad has tried to play with me a few times, but he doesn't want to invest the time it takes to learn how to play so it never worked out that well. I'm just going to make sure to keep playing video games until I have kids and they are old enough to play so I can play with them :)
