Almost no sound effects
Good evening.
I'm new to Destiny, having received a copy of [i]The Fallen King[/i] for Christmas, and loaded it up on an older XBOX 360. When I play the game there are almost no sound effects. Music and voices seem to be fine, but the only sound effects that I hear when playing are the report from the basic assault rifle and the "shields breaking" sound. Other weapons, including the shotgun and the scout rifle, are completely silent, and the enemies make no noise either.
I have installed the game on a separate USB hard drive, and all game files have been moved over to this drive, so everything is in the same place.
I have checked the sound settings for the game, the console and the television, and everything seems to be working properly, other games work fine.
If anyone has any suggestions as to other avenues that could use troubleshooting, that would be appreciated.

Edited by OMTRE: 3/28/2016 3:03:16 AMOkay, some troubleshooting (and a fair amount of experimentation) has come up with a partial solution. If there is not enough hard drive space for all of the Destiny content, then the base game install needs to be on the Xbox 360's [i]internal[/i] hard drive. Otherwise, the sound effects will mostly be absent - which ones show up will vary. The compatibility packs, et cetera, may be installed to an external drive. Note that this come with some trade-offs. The visuals don't load as quickly, and this means that trying to switch out weapons in the character menu while things are happening is suicidal - the weapon graphics simply take too long to load. I've also noticed a marked increase in serious errors - the game has crashed three time (not during gameplay, fortunately) in the past 24 hours since we reconfigured the install.
