Titan Story (Collaboration Chapter!) Chapter 27.7: Court is Now in Session
The characters used from Paradox1055s story are his and belong to him.
A low hum permeates the arena as the spinning purple saw blades from the Ward hover over Blake, who stares menacingly at the Ogre. "Blake? Blake?! What's going on?" I asked as the Ogre begins to stand up and turn it's focus to him. Blake slowly holds up the Darkdrinker and juts it forward, allowing the saw blades to whirl to life and tear off towards their target. They quickly crash against the Ogre, who screams in agony as it tries to block the attack with no success. The blades simply turn back towards the Ogre and rip into its spine as it roars out with one last agonizing wail and falls to the ground, dead. I simply watch as the Ogre's body begins to vanish with the Void's fury. "What the..." "Holy s***!" Charles whirled around to look at me. "Why can't you do that!?" "Well, s*** Blake! Where did you learn that?" asked James as he paused to watch the killing. Blake doesn't utter a sound as the saw blades hover back around him in the loose shape of the Ward. He stood there, silently, seemingly awaiting something. "Hey! Blake what is?..." Before I could finish, Blake head snaps to look at the Knights, who stood dumbfounded by the display and rushes after them. "What's he doing?!" I asked James. "How the h*** am I supposed to know? He won't answer!" James loads his rocket launcher and rushes to cover fire. Blake charged forward and meet the Swor-bearer head on. The Knight roared angrily and slammed his sword down. Blake blocked the attack with his sword and the two are suddenly locked in an intense struggle for superiority. "James! Keep us covered!" I yelled as I rushes forward to gain the attention of the Taken Knight, who had steadily moved back up the stage to gain the upper hand. "Why do I have to 'keep them covered'? Eh, kill them all!!" cried James, lobbing rockets at the incoming horde. Avoiding James' hell storm of rockets, I made my way up to the stage and grabbed the Knight's attention. "Hey! Over here!" The Knight's head snaps strangely to look at me as it jitters and gurgles a roar. "Ugh... nasty creatures..." Charles said as he vanished in my helmet. "Why did we pick this one again?" "Just shut it..." I jumped out of the way of several blasts and slowly lead him over to Blak, who was still fighting the Knight. "Get ready!" I hopped up for a second, allowing my jet pack to activate and thrust me out of the way. The Knight watched me briefly before diverting it's attention Blake. It gave another guttering roar and tried to lash out at him to aid his brother in arms. Blake cocked his head to the side and gave a sideways glance. The Knight made a grab for him, but Blake ducked out of the way allowing the shields to fail for the Knights as the Swordbearer barked at the other Knight in their language. Blake stepped back a little and darted forward, sliding under the swings of the Knight as he pulled the Darkdrinker up once more. It glowed a very deep purple and the blade dissolved into a wall of Void energy. He brought the blade over head and spun in a circle, allowing the wall to become a vortex and then a maelstrom of death as he continuously spun in place. The Knight's wailed in agony as they were caught up and sucked into Blake's attack. The maelstrom lasted 5, 10, 20 seconds as it literally consumed the Knights into the Void itself. The area around Blake grew cold and small crystals of ice began to form as the portal closed from the death of the Hive. Blake then stood to a stop as the blade dissapeared into the hilt and he seemed to relax a bit. His armor had crusts of ice upon it from the sheer exposure to the Void as he stood still, waiting again. The enemies vanished around us as James and I stood perfectly still, looking at Blake. "I've heard of the cold shoulder but holy s***." Charles appeared by me and scanned Blake briefly. "How did he survive?..." Another flash caused us to look as a chest appeared on the top part of the stage. Charles floated up and scanned the chest briefly as it opened. "OHH! A new shell! Never mind it's a blue..." He sulked as I gathered the treasure, giving me some armor pieces and another token. James and Morin collected their things and we made our way back to the group. Blake ignores it entirely and walked back to the group with us. As we got past the barrier, Doc was drooling at a screen infront of him. "It worked perfectly... He's used more Void in one sitting than I've ever seen!! Haha!!" He spun in a circle. "Success!!! Well done, Blake!!" Blake ignored the comment and made his way towards the back of the group. "Good job, Blake." Alan said as he walked to Blake, trying to grab his attention. Blake didn't even glance as he walked into Alan, practically shoving him in a mindless way past him. Alan spun around as he picked himself back up. He took a deep angry breath and shouted at Blake "Okay, you are really starting to piss me off!! What the h*** is wrong with you?!!" Doc looks up from his work. "Don't yell at him. You'll break my serums concentration then he will lose all ability to walk and move for a while until I allow his consciousness to return. It's a difficult process giving people back their minds." He looked back down at his work. Blake simply stood off in a corner, unmoving or doing anything with the hilt of his sword still in hand. "Wait what?!" I asked. "You did what to him?" "Shhh shh, not now, I'm doing math." Doc mumbled figures to himself. Alan growled with frustration and slammed the wall next to him, making the stone crack slightly from the blow. Everyone gave him a quieted glance. "Are... you ok?..." Angelica asked softly. "Well someone's on his period." Natasha muttered. "If you had a menstrual cycle, you shouldn't be talking much." Doc said, still ignoring what's going on. Natasha glares at the Ghost as Alan slowed his breathing and fixed his cloak. "...Yeah. It didn't hurt at all... Bionic arm." He glanced at Natasha. "Ha.. ha.. ha.." Natasha shook her head and looked around the group. "So are we done here? I grow bored of this..." "What are you talking about? There's still one left!" Charles starts to make his way to the final pillar with the token I just found in hand but I grabbed him quickly. "Oh no you don't!" "Allow me..." said Colt narrowly escaping Alan's fatal grasp, grabbing the token from Charles and rushing over. "S***, no!" Alan double jumped after his Ghost. Colt dodged his hand and dropped it on top of the statue. "Thaaank you." The token smacks the statue and does nothing, the small ting of the coin ringing out in the silence. "You did it wrong!" Charles said muffled in my fists. "You are supposed to toss it!" Colt and Alan fumbled with the token, each trying to gain the upper hand with it. Alan managed to catch it on the tip of his fingers with Colt grasped firmly with his other hand. The token floated precariously as the two glanced at each other. "Don't you dare..." Alan muttered. Colt spun his shell, blowing the token out of Alan's grasp. "D*** you..." The token dissapears and the statue roared to life once more. Blake shrugged a bit at the loud sound and grabbed his head. "Uh.... What happened?... I feel like I'm having a hot/cold spell..." "Just a side effect no worries!" Shouted Doc. Blake mumbled something as he looked at the open portal. "Well f***...." "Ah... Cheer up, Blake. Think of it this way, it's the warlocks' turn. You got this Dakota." Alan said, holding Colt in a vice grip. Blake nodded a bit then went rigged as he gazed at the portal. "Ah.. dah... dah... Cr... cr..." He shakily pointed forward. I turn to look at what Blake was staring at. The figure that stood there was massive, extremely large for a Knight. It's bright blue skin clashed with the pale green of the portal as its body appeared from within it. The sword it carried by its side scrapped the bottom of the stage, giving a very shrill sound. It picked it up and slung it over its shoulder and looked to us. It pointed it's slender ghostly finger at us and growled angrily, making the entire hallway shake slightly with its massive echo effect. "Ahhahaha. You got this Dakota. Show him what you got." Alan slowly sunk to the ground as his legs gave out, recognizing the being. https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/187018837/0/0 link to chapter 27.4 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/194701048/0/0 link to chapter 27.9
