Every activity, quest, raid, strike, arena should have two separate lobbies.
One : matchmaking lobby, accepting parties of one to five or one to two depending on the activity
Two : private lobbies, accepting parties of one to six or one to three, accordingly, no matchmaking whatsoever (pretty much what we have now)
That way everyone is happy and the two kinds of folks this caters too don't even have to talk to each other....except here of course.
Now.
Commence the anger/outrage/stubbornness you are so good at community

No. Wouldn't work

Edited by Maddmunkey: 3/28/2016 7:55:12 PMHoly hell yes. For the love of god I just want to be able to play the activities that require a pre made fire team without having to waste my time logging into other sites searching for and waiting for people. I do not have time for that and I just want to enjoy the game. I don't care if I'm being carried or carrying someone else sometimes you just need the extra gun or more people are required and because I work most of the time I'm my stupid busy life sometimes I just want to click a button and kill a bunch of shit with some random people that want to do the same. I do not understand why they have to make it such a chore when every other multiplayer game out there has a option for this sort of thing. As long as forums and clans are required just to enjoy a certain aspect of a game I paid for I will be left out of those activities. When I bought the game there was one need for finding a team and I had friends that played and it was easy to get a game going. Now that all the fun has been nerfed out of the game no one I know plays and its impossible to find people to play the things I enjoyed playing. No valentines doubles no POE above the easiest level, no raids, now a majority of the content is out of reach for me to play. Thanks Bungie.

Couldn't agree more. Too bad Bungie will never give a sh!t what you think.
-
I agree with this. Too late now though. Too many 3rd party lfg sites Bungie supported that would either go out of business or struggle. The boat has sailed imo.
-
I only do raids with LFG made teams who communicate, so I wouldn't use matchmaking unless it was to fill an empty slot. But I don't see the harm of it being there others to use if they want to and it won't effect me or any other hard core player. Give everyone a chance to play content they have paid for. In fact include TOO too so it waters down the sweatfest a little. Won't do my KD any harm at all :)

would only run players out of the game when they entered a raid that was matchmade. Some would simply leave frustrated that the end game was just too damned hard, too complicated to figure out. Some would come on here complaining that they are stupid, can't be done as is, Screaming that they need to nerf everything in the raid, get rid of the mechanics, and make is simple.

That's a very viable solution. The problem? Bungie still won't do it.
-
Match making is for people who want be carried. For lazy people who can't lfg. Then people who don't have a Mic. It's a bad idea

It's amazing the level of Stockholm Syndrome running through this place. Maybe someday the sheep can develop an opinion of their own.
-
This is beautiful. Optional doesn't hurt the hardcore and helps a large part of the community. Its common sense to have this in the game. There is no viable reason for it not to. Not wanting it in the game because...because is just plain selfish at this point. Well said dude

Why does it seem like everyone is spouting about matchmaking all the time now? Literally took me 3 mins to find a group yesterday to run the raid. Knocked it out in just over an hour. It's not difficult to find a team.

-
Indeed. Excellent idea.

Give them a break. It's not like they had previous experience with online games or matchmaking. They did a great job for trying it for the very first time.

All division challange modes have match making...destiny developers have dipped out to work on Destiny 2 and have left this game to die

Mm no thanks
