Edit: Left the post alone for a bit to see the responses. What I gather is that a lot of people are very passionate about what makes a good game.
The truth is most people wouldn't know the first thing that goes into the development of a game.
I know that it is a hell of a lot of effort, time and money that goes into making one though. Give people at Bungie a break.
It is rare for a game company to take an interest in what their fans are thinking and try to accommodate their requests. On top of that, they put up a forum where you can bash the game, the company, even the employees. Hell, some people have used it as a free advertisement tool for competing games.
A company that does that, actually does care about its fan base, they are willing to stake their reputation on it.
Lastly, for those of you who took the time to actually consider what logistics would go into creating a AAA title, I think that you should probably take the next step and try getting involved in game development. It might be the best thing to come out of these forums.
