New Ideas for Vault Space and Future DLC's!

Wanted to see what everyone thought of a new way to be more efficient with the space we have in the tower, without actually expanding the vault space. Let me know what you guys think!

  • If it's in a video it's probably not a good idea

    • FIRST OFF, Guardian please edit your original posting and change the hashtags. This is not a #help topic but is #feedback. Please update this as soon as you can as you do not require technical support. That being said: In reality what you are asking Bungie to do is not increase vault space, but instead give us two additional vaults. That again goes back to the problem with memory transfer constraints with the previous generation consoles. There is no way to 'create a placeholder' as you suggest in your video. Right now, the kiosks are simply a table with all the exotics on them and a simple 1/0 lock on them. Not sure what their coding is, but essentially all the non-located items sit as a 0 meaning undiscovered and the ones you have discovered change to a 1; thus giving you access to buy them. There are no 'smart tables' here covering all the individual nuances the exotic items can have (perks, Stat rolls, etc.). In order to do what you are asking, it would literally take a metric ton of coding that still, when finished, will only overload the previous generation comsoles. We will not get more space PERIOD until such a time that we either drop previous Gen support OR get rid of all the 3D modelling in both the icons for the weapons/armor/items and the actual display of the items. If you are OK with losing all of that, then Bungie could expand our vault space tomorrow. I for one am not. I like looking at my weapons and doing a quick glance across my items in my vault to find d the one item I might be looking for. I don't want to have to hover over each item to figure out what it is. And honestly right now, we are getting really nothing extravagant for current iteration Desriny. The Live Team (the team supporting Destiny) is minute compared to what it used to be (less than a dozen are the estimates). We are getting our PvE event sometime in the future and maybe a DLC by years end. The majority of the rest of Bungie is slaving away on Destiny 2 which was supposed to come out this year but all estimates on it put it not being ready until late 2017. They can pull Live team members to increase vault space, etc. if we are willing to give up other features, like them working on bugs per se. Please note, I am not criticizing you Guardian for your opinion but these are the cold hard facts right now. The current Destiny is a dead product as sales have basically started to turn into an avalanche. A product costing money and making no money sadly is not a product that gets a majority of support, no matter how large the player base is.

      • Awesome video! You should also post it in the Feedback forum; you'll probably get more responses there.
