So having about 10 hours of downtime at work per shift I thought of this concept based on the zombies game mode that was popular as a concept in halo 2 and became an official mode in halo 3.
For those who are unfamiliar it is not the cod zombies mode; the game starts with one team being a single player, this player is the zombie (or what can be called the taken for destiny's sake). All remaining players are on the second team. As the second team's members are slowly killed by the taken they are switched to the taken's team.
The game ends when the entirety of the second team is converted or time runs out. Victors are determined by individual score like a rumble.
To balance out the 1vmany scale the taken can have buffs like reduced cool down on grenades and melee and increased armor.
As those who have played PvE you also noticed that the taken deal different burns than their non taken counterparts. This can be applied to supers for the taken and bring a new twist to them For example:

Arc walker

Solstalker
Arcgun
Voiddancer
Edit: they can also apply a temporary taken shader to those who are on the taken team and have a questline to unlock a permanent taken shader from this playlist.
