Do not buy the level 25 Hunter, Titan, or Warlock class pack. The price is outrageous and unacceptable for it's content. When you buy Destiny the Taken King you'll most likely get a Spark of Light with it that'll allow you boost your characters to level 25. Leveling up a subclass is also very easy, just play a bunch of crucible or Vanguard heroics. The amount of time to reach from level 1 to 40 is about two to three days average.
Why would you pay $45 for a something you can easily get within two to three days time for free? This pack costs more than the Taken King itself, and some of us who own the Taken King still weren't very satisfied with the deal!
Choose wisely folks, I can't dictate how to spend your money for you, but know this, you've been warned.

2 days? More like 2 hours.

Bump. You are also paying to reduce the amount of quality gaming hours you can get from the game. This means you are effectively paying more money to reduce the amount of content you are getting.

I wouldn't use any boosts either. Because once you get to max level it starts slowly going downhill. When you find yourself playing other games instead you will know. Better to draw out the game longer to keep your interest.

TTK is half price in many shops and even at half price it is not a good buy, as said before. buy the kids Battle Front instead.
-
Don't buy destiny in general. Get Star Wars Battlefront instead, your kids will thank you.
