Guardian Background Check: Hunters

We are mysterious, but not by our schemes, we are never seen until we want to be. We wear custom made armor for quick and unexpected attacks. We are hunters. Most commonly known for our rough made rebreather and goggles, and our cloaks, which has more purpose than just style. We are so similar in so many ways, yet so different. No two hunters have the same traits or beliefs. Hunters train three ways: the lone wolf, the father and son principle, or as a clan. Most hunters favor going lone wolf. They train on their own time, learn what they want, learn as they live. Hunters that train this way are typically the hunters that think they are capable of taking any challenge alone. This lone wolf spirit has left bad marks for all hunters, but it is the easiest for most to learn by. To learn what kills and what doesn't, what works and what doesn't. The father and son principle is where a hunter takes an apprentice under his or her wing. It is common for both members to have the same subclass: blade dancer to blade dancer, gunslinger to gunslinger, and nightstalker to nightstalker. In some, rare, occasions the apprentice will inherent a different subclass. Personal bonds can form in this style of training, bonds that do not show in clans. "To train you now, from your first knife to your first headshot, was just like raising my own son." from the Book of the Hunt, the Father and Son Principle. The other form of training hunters are scattered hunter clans. To stumble on one of these are borderline impossible. However, finding one while being unwelcomed can mean death. Thousands of hunters might being training at each camp, making these great soldiers for hire. To identify each other, clans will make tattoos of their symbol and place them on their right shoulder. Most clans are based off of the subclass of the founder, so anyone training for a different subclass will be kicked from the clan. Mostclans stay hidden until needed or paid. It is common to see debates between hunters about their subclasses. This is apparent in all three, not just between any two. The main cause of this is how each form of Light used represents one's personality. Gunslingers are known for being the show offs of the hunters. They think they are the most skilled since they wield a weapon from the sun. Even though they have a sense of superiority over others, Gunslingers are also known for being the most compassionate. "Gunslingers are hotheads. They think they are the best since they wield a weapon from the sun, but only a few have the skill to use it. However, trust that they will fight along side you, if you give them a challenge." Cayde-6 Bladedancers are the most energetic out of the hunters. Bladedancers have no concern for being superior like Gunslingers, they just want to show their might like their counterparts Strikers and Stormcallers. They are the most ambitious and ready for a fight and they are bound to win any challenge they face. Bladedancers are also very impulsive, and will act as they please. They hate to be contained, keeping all that arc energy stored in them can lead to antsy behavior and excited outbursts. To relieve the energy, some might act like kids after too much candy, but sometimes that is not enough. Where Gunslingers learned precision from a hand cannon to a knife, Bladedancers train to use one, and only one, knife for any situation. "Well, you're not supposed to throw the d*** knife!" Colt. Nightstalkers are the most mysterious, as the name implies. They are also the most serious about the task at hand, they have to be to draw from the void. To be able to take the risk of using the void, Nightstalkers cannot risk letting their temper get out of hand. So, most Nightstalkers, no matter how mad they get, will simply walk away if something gets too intense. Their cool nature that comes with tapping into the void makes Nightstalkers the more docile of the hunters. Most of the time they will be real laid back in conversations, not trying to make themselves seem better than others or try to lighten the mood. Nightstalkers know the difference of having a team or not, so when their allies are being threatened, they will fight. They take their job seriously if nothing else. "A warlock was picking on a Nightstalker's apprentice once. The Nightstalker kindly asked the warlock to back off. When the warlock persisted, the Nightstalker's bow asked... it wasn't as kind." Cayde-6. Link to Guardian Background Check: Titans https://www.bungie.net/en/Clan/Post/1371758/179674985/0/0
