Just bought my pre-ordered copy of ODST tonight. Picked it up at 12:22 am and quickly drove it home to play. Already had friends lined up to do 4 player co-op. $60.00 for 3 new multiplayer maps that will be free in another 2 months, and a 5 hour campaign... That doesn't sound good I thought, but then this is Halo and we have all of the previous titles and loved each one. That list includes Halo Wars... Therefore I thought that this one has to be good. Long story short, the 4 of us all agreed that this is a terrible game which is chock full of shortcuts and unpolished hogwash. I plan to take my copy back to the store when it opens for my money back! Bungie - This is not worth $60.00 - not even close. This is a crappy game and that is coming from a Halo-fanboy. You guys lost a customer tonight. I won't buy another one of your titles. I am extremely disappointed by this game.

83 pages of flaming... Fail OP is fail.

This is a very old topic and I'm sure that the OP no longer monitors it, but I have found the key flaw in his argument. He played it in co-op. Can ODST be played with 4 peope? Yes. Should it? No. This game should be played on your own as it was intended.

inb4no1 cuz this forums been around 4 so long and every1 knows odst was just short, and lack of sword and servers gave this game a bad rap
-
Halo ODST is a terrible game. It's the worst Halo game ever.
-

The Halo's need to wipe this thread clean from the universe. I don't see why ODST is so loved/hated equally, it is far from a bad game, or a bad halo game. Other than chief ODST's all the way, feet first into hell. UNSC's best after all, not including kidnapped and genetically modified brats, heh. [Edited on 11.29.2011 6:34 PM PST]

Halo 3 odst isnt bad. I found the original series storyline a bit cheesy but I still enjoy it. The best thing on odst is the soundtrack. ps: Id take odst over reach any day
-
It was a good game. Best soundtrack, huge exploring of New Mombasa, and a good plot. I don't get what you're blabbering about.

its a good game stop slagging it off

Halo ODST was okay. The story was entertaining although short. I found it incredibly easy compared to other Halo games, Halo CE and Halo 2 are tougher than Chuck Norris to complete on Legendary, Still haven't quite finished 2. I completed Halo ODST on Legendary in one sitting of 4 hours and a half (A day well spent right there!). The Firefight is extremely limited, the combustibility is lacking and there are clear flaws within the level design. For me, It's only fun to play Firefight when on Legendary and with 4 other skilled players who can survive it, Which is unfortunately, difficult to find. I would of loved it if there was some sort of matchmaking option where you could join random peoples firefight games. I think they should of definitely made some sort of special playlist within Halo 3 matchmaking that allowed you to play as an ODST with the altered health and weapons and shiz, but they never did that which was disappointing. The game was okay I'd give it a 7.4/10 overall. I'd give halo 3 a 9.6/10 if anybody is wondering. Reach gets an 8.7/10 and Halo 2 gets a 9.4/10 and Halo CE gets a 10/10.

I HATED this game also, Absolutley HATED it

After having the game as long as the OP has; I'd have to say that it isn't as bad as some people may imply it is. It has a solitude campaign with a lonely feeling. I personally love that. I love that feel of isolation, solitude, quite and soft depression. It all adds to how some games SHOULD be made for campaign.
Posted by: xXJL NINJAXx lol, he has never played the game that damn liar it was 40-45 dollars not 60
And on the release, I do believe it was 60$ if my memory serves me correctly.
