Make public events relevant!

Hey Bungie, Court of Oryx is a decent idea. How about building on it to make the rest of the public events worth bothering with? Some ideas: 1. Take them off timers and give them triggers. Not more things to clutter our inventories, please! More like kill a special enemy or have a fire team stand on certain spots. 2. Have in-game announcements that someone is engaging in a public event in x area of the instance you are in. 3. Tiered enemies. Current level and rewards can be Tier one. Higher tiers could spawn more enemies, higher level enemies, tougher bosses, different/more boss abilities, or restrictive boss damage mechanics. Higher Tiers give better rewards and are challenging, needing full fire teams and coordination. 4. Make them meaningful. Just plucking a number at random, let's say there needs to be at least 1000 public events successfully completed each week to hold back the Darkness. If so, and you completed at least 3, you get a reward, like a package with a load of materials in it (like Variks gives you) If there haven't been enough public events completed, something bad happens like Xûr can't make it through to the Tower or the Armsday orders don't get delivered. Have a counter that updates every reset somewhere highly visible in the Tower. 5. Tie them to factions. Participants in successfully completed public events grant points to their faction. The faction with the most public event points that week grants some rep or a package to all its faction members, who completed at least 3. Any more ideas, fellow guardians?
