Repeat topics...
Posted by: Moriarity WOW!! The numbers of people posting graphics problems everyday in this forum is flooding the first page topics! ....
This is part of a post from the Maw, but it demonstartes a good point. I haven't even been on b.bet for very long, and already I've noticed how certain topics get posted over and over and over.... Maybe a good idea for this would be to have a FAQ thread sticky'd at the top of each forum. In this thread, they (the mods maybe?) could post links to a thread of a type that seems to get posted all the time. This way new people could click on the FAQ thread, and find most of their answers simply by clicking on links. (I understand the New Hotness will have some type of thread searching feature (?) which may solve this somewhat anyhow.....)

 •
Posted by: Yolegoman You make an interesting point. Most people DO go to forums to spout about the crap they think. The few who do go to forums to glean information as opposed to spout about their l33tness rarely post unless they think it is necessary. And since they post less, and there are fewer of them, they can hardly make much of a difference. - Yolego, who has done his share of spouting about his l33tness
Oh crap, I did make a point, didn't I? Sorry, it won't happen again! I rulez at HaLo, c0m3 & w0rsh1p Mi l337 sKillZ! Whew, now THAT is better!

 •
Posted by: Recon Number 54 It's true. Most people go to forums to speak, not to read. Sad actually, since there are a few posters here who actually say something worth reading. But there are very, VERY few forums that don't have a high "signal to noise ratio".
You make an interesting point. Most people DO go to forums to spout about the crap they think. • And I'll add FAQs to my list of things people don't read. 1. Rules 2. FAQs 3. Encyclopedias(if you read one, wow!) 4. dictionaries

 • That wouldn't help. The majority doesn't read those things anyway. And the majority makes those repeated topics.
