People were quick to jump to conclusions...

Funny how people thought Bungie was going to provide Tess with King's Fall consumables and shit, and then they decided to go on a childish rant about how they bullshitted everything they said about Tess's inventory being strictly cosmetic. And yet, it turns out those screenshots were simply abandoned ideas. This is what me and probably thousands of people are talking about, rodents on these forums simply want a reason to rant, so they concoct some of the most childish reasons for doing so. Think critically people, learn to make positive assumptions for a change. Edit: This here article proves that Bungie has no plans of selling gameplay altering consumables or anything of the like, aside from them already stating this in their news update. If this isn't enough to sway you then i'm afraid i can't help you lol. https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3nu5hb/bungie_never_lied_about_microtransactions_and/

Its also funny that people like the OP are quick call out others as having "childish rants" when people raise entirely valid concerns about the introduction and guaranteed gradual escalation micro-transactions on a $60 game that already has two $20 DLC on the market and a third priced at $40. It deftly ignores the all previous lies Bungie has told us and flat out calls for people to use "CRITICAL" thinking to make positive assumptions... Are you serious? That is extreme childish naivety right there! Whats next? Trusting strangers offering candy to kids and inviting them to take a ride in their vans? Surely they have the best of intentions... For starters critical thinking involves criticizing or taking a critical stance towards what you see and perceive. In short you verify whatever information is presented to you and find FLAWS in it if they exist. I have a honest question here, has Bungie done anything but mislead and lie about the game since release? Time and time again they have made statements saying one thing then they do the exact opposite. Apparently the fact that so many of Bungie's statements are so easily proven false when you look at the facts has not even caused the OP stop and question the credibility of Bungie at this point is flat out crazy! Bungie is sure making a killing off gullible people like him. Here is a free piece of advice for anyone who reads this: You should only make positive assumptions about people who you can trust. Family and sometimes a few close friends are often the only ones worthy of such initial consideration. Trust is something you earn with actions not just words. Companies that dump you if you don't buy all their DLC and continually get caught lying to you, going back on their words the few times they actually deign to engage the community are the perfect example of someone not worthy of "positive assumptions" In fact they deserve constant scrutiny and mistrust. I like the game but I have no trust for its developers. its up to you to fact check and draw your own conclusions.

        • You should edit your post and add this link to a discussion thread on Reddit providing information directly from Bungie, confirming that microtransactions will be aesthetic only and in no way shape or form will become pay-to-win: https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/3nu5hb/bungie_never_lied_about_microtransactions_and/

          • I'd think bungie is biding their time. Consumables are still coming, it's only a matter of time

              • On the other hand, they nerfed drop rates for Strange Coins, Motes of Light and Weapon parts. I've read exactly zero posts complaining that we got more of those items than we needed. Posts about how we didn't have anything to spend Strange Coins on or anything truly useful to spend Motes of light on abounded but nobody complained that the drop rate was too high. And then Bungie introduces mechanics that give us more things to do with Motes of Light and Strange Coins. And an infusion system that ensures that even fairly casual players are going to be using more Weapon Parts than ever before. And then they go and nerf the drop rates when people were beginning to post about how they were running out. I strongly suspect that Bungie was about to have Tess start selling Parts, Coins and Motes. They might not now that people have complained about the drop rate change, but they were thinking about it.

Tess has been here less than two weeks and you think that proves that at no time in the future of this franchise that it's not entirely possible for Bungie to have her sell consumables? That's a small sample size to make that assumption. People are only concerned that this is just the start, and with good reason. If you look at the item returns at Eververse Trading, you will see that it says "You can return up to 30 of your most recent purchases made within the last 15 minutes in exchange for silver". At present, there are only 18 emotes available for purchase. I find it highly unlikely that some one would buy 30 emotes to the tune of over 2 to 5 dollars a pop in one sitting. The more likely scenario is that consumables will be sold at a lesser amount. Don't be so quick to think it's not possible at some point in the future. Edited for wording.

                        • Thanks for the advice. You sound like quite the dick. Now try and take some of your own advice and don't make assumptions about people you don't know and their motivations. Not to mention the fact that even an idiot can see that they didn't set up Tess up to sell 10 emotes. She'll start selling more shit in the future, cause this game is only about making money. But thanks again for the judgment on other peoples judgment, it's very refreshing on these forums.

                          • I'm not concerned with what she has to sell. They're emotes and I couldn't care about them. If someone wants to buy them then that's their decision. People are afraid of what might happen. They speculate that it will evolve into transactions for weapons, armor or consumables. I'm not going to worry about what might happen.

                                • Ahaha I know people were in a uproar. I'm still pissed that bungie considered it enough to put a little development into it. That part is what set me off, even though they didn't go through with it. Doesn't mean some day they will follow through with it, they may we never know.

Of course new light lvl....woo hoo.... House of wolves was pretty much my favorite dlc out of the two and even then I had to wait a while after crota dropped. House of wolves was good ONLY because of the arena. That's it. Now, if I'm going to drop another 80, because last I checked, I can't buy JUST TTK digital version, I don't want to end up playing a game, I spent over 100 for it to become PAY TO WIN. Get me? That's the MAIN reason people are butthurt.
