I personally am not a fan of class items giving any stats at all. Because it will quickly go to "optimization"-route, where everyone has to buy certain class item or get kicked off the raid. I always saw Class items as something to tell you apart from other guardians, sort of decorations. Plus 90% of them are ugly crap, especially the legendary ones, so it was nice that I could use the rares from level 6 instead.
So why this change really? Do you like class items giving you light and stats? Or would you rather have it as something you can have as decoration?
-
I always thought some blue items were cooler than legendary or exotics. Now they have a use again. Also, the ghosts are cool. My only problem is my best ghost is pink and I like the dead orbitone way better. I'm just worried if I infuse a 295 ghost into my 252 dead orbit ghost, it will drop the light below 290. That would blow, plus pinky shows relic iron.
-
Now my Ghost Angel Cloak is outdated. A cloak so beautiful. Left so, so forgotten.
-
...you forgot there part where if you think one item is better than another you can just infuse it to make it stronger. You can literally wear whatever you want now
-
They should give stats but not armor. Same with ghost shell. How are these items providing protection? How does a scrap of cloth hanging from a titans ass defend him?
-
I main a Warlock... So it didn't matter that much.... Until u thought about my Hunter.... BOOO class item defense!!!!
-
I miss level 1 hunter starter scarf :'(

Destiny: Become Legend* *As long as you do it our way and look the way we want you to. No exceptions.

Edited by sola gratia: 10/3/2015 11:02:10 AMIt's pretty fucking stupid how we are forced to wear shit we don't want to.
-
I just wish they would blend with shaders.
-
so that everyone has the same gear again
-
I think it gets annoying considering a specific one need to be chosen otherwise you won't be strong enough, but I do like how getting a legendary class item engram will mean you'll actually get something that could be useful now.
-
I keep the legendary I want and infuse it. I love that there is a reason to wear them besides what they look like though.
-
They should have a "cosmetic" settings or slots where what you look like is independent of the actual armour you wear. LOTRO did that so the book fan bioys like me could run around looking like we are wearing simple cainmail... While still able to raid wearing the big hideous armour needed to survive. ... Heck ...on raid was in water killing a giant squid thing... So I had my dwarf doing the raid looking like he was in Bermuda shorts and a tank top :)
-
I honestly preferred them without armor or any perks. It allowed for more variety in people's appearance. Now everyone is forced to use the highest defense class item they find, even if it's ugly.
-
They're better as decorations. Next thing you know Bungie is going to make certain ships have faster loading times. It's ridiculous.
-
I don't mind if they give perks, like the upgrade rate ones the year 2 ones currently do, but I hate the fact I can only wear year 2 legendary or exotic capes if I want to be viable. I personally love some of the rare capes and year 1 capes, I don't get why we can't infuse them. Maybe they will be infuse-able in the future though.
-
It works kinda...I mean I have a lot of old legendary cloaks I can't even wear without dropping massively
-
Because Bungie refuses to get rid of the stupid -blam!-ing Light system. Everyone should be able to play the game without the stupid Light requirements.
-
For my Warlock, I don't really care either way. But on my Hunter, I much much much prefer the class items to be purely decorative. Because I like the big long ankle length cloaks and none of the decent clocks I've had so far look like that, so I'm stuck in cloaks that look stupid.
-
I'm waiting for a cool legendary one that imma infuse with raid class item most of them are ugly.
-
I like the new system. Every item you equip shoukd matter.
