Alternate Taken Raid Concept

Obviously this would never happen in a million years. We'd be told too much time, too much effort, too confusing for players. I, for one, would lose my shit over a raid like this. The tower is full of literally, walking legends. The badasses of Destiny. They've led wars and survived them (some singlehandedly, looking at you Saladin/Shaxx) and have decades of experience & leadership. Why the hell are we venturing into a raid all on our own? To fight a GOD? Why is it that six people can kill him? Guardians are really that powerful? Eris and her fireteam got the floor mopped with them and they only faced Crota. Here's the idea. Bungivision or whatever you want to call them is trying to market this as an MMO. They have some of the most trivial, worthless "social interactions" I've ever seen in an MMO. Shaiya did a better job than Destiny. Why not a 24-player raid party? Now I know you're thinking how the hell do we all communicated. The raid would start in orbit, with the raid as an option and you'd get your fireteam of six together & enter. It would take you to an "outpost" of sorts outside wherever it is we're supposed to go find & fight Oryx. The matchmaking system would match you up with two other fireteams of six. During raids, we have multiple checkpoints. They usually involve solving some sort of puzzle, timed event, or x number of waves of enemies. They are objective based. Split these checkpoints into three "objectives" much like we have three zones in control. Using the way the game works to spawn the two teams in Crucible on other sides of the map, spawn each fireteam at the beginning of a checkpoint. The matchmaking would assign one of three people to each fireteam to lead, instruct, and guide us: Eris, Uldren Sov, and Commander Zavala. Why, you ask? Because Oryx leads armies of taken. Alien races he has enslaved. Eris, Uldren, and Zavala are the most knowledgeable about each race, and would do anything to see them crushed. Eris would lead the Hive fireteam. Year two Crota gear would change, to be aimed more at specific Hive destruction, and the armor would give special bonuses for fighting Hive. Uldren would lead the Fallen fireteam. Having Fallen as the allies of the Reef for years, he would be extremely in tune with how they work tactically, their abilities, and methods of battle. Prison of Elders gear would be aimed towards Fallen destruction, and it's armor would boost a player's ability to withstand and defeat Fallen. Zavala would lead the Cabal fireteam. He is the initiator of recapturing Freehold from Cabal command, and fought in the Twilight Gap under the tutleage of Lord Saladin. You can't exactly argue with experience like that. Each fireteam would be "directed" and mildly assisted (mostly support) by their NPC fireteam leader. You would expect them to give advice, for example Eris warning about a type of Hive tactic or Uldren pointing out a weak spot in a Captain's defenses. This enables a team of 27 people to go up against a God (a hell of a lot more convincing than six) and definitely lives up to the concept of an MMO. Thoughts?
