Matchmaking should be enabled for nightfall now that there is no kick to orbit
When matchmaking was added to the weekly heroic, the reason cited by bungie for not also enabling it for nightfall was that they wanted all teams to be able to try again together in case of an initial failure (maybe someone can find the exact quote for me?). Now that with 2.0 and the taken king there will no longer be a kick to orbit mechanic, this reason is gone.
Id like to play nightfall with matchmade teamates every week like i play the weekly. So please give us matchmaaking for nightfall (optional matchmaking would be preferred so that the very small vocal minority who like to solo it wont complain, but Id be fine with required matchmaking too = same system as weekly heroic).

Agreed. Sick of having to look for that one post for nightfall, then sit there for 20 mins waiting for someone to join.

Though I've had better luck this week. All of us that cant afford fallout yet are grouping up as we are the only ones playing from our friend list. Won't be enough to raid soon though

2 RepliesOptional Matchmaking for Nightfall i think is a good start for Year 2. Weekly heroic works good with matchmaking,it's time for Nightfall too. And next must be Prison of elder only for level 32 and 34 . I think you need a team for beat level 35 cause i did it just 1 time and it's a little hard if you not communicate,specialy when you are poised. So i think yes,for Weekly , Nightfall , Prison of Elder 32-34 and Trials of Osiris they must give us a OPTIONAL MATCHMAKING. So i BUMP !!

But really I'd prefer if its OPTIONAL (a word not in bungie's vocabulary apparently :) ) Then the ppl that don't want it don't have to use it. I get it, sometimes you just wanna be alone, that's cool... (But if it was auto that really wouldn't bother me either...)

2 RepliesThere would be a catch to that many randoms quit in the middle of weeklies and it may get worse for nightfalls. Tome and its JUST a thought they might consider some kind of penalty for people who quit other than a bad connection.
