ARCHIVED - Interview with DeeJ from Bungie on Destiny and the DLC's

IGN : Well DeeJ first the fans would like to know HOW you came up with the idea for this BRILLIANT gem of a game?` DeeJ : Well you know we sat around throwing ball, and it struck us that .. Everyone loves donuts! IGN : oooh shit serious Donuts for life, please elaborate!? DeeJ : We shaped the entire Destiny universe around this "Donut concept" where we made the players run around in circles for hours and hours only to discover it's all empty in the middle.. IGN : ok .. yeah i feel that having played the game ...True genious! But what is your idea with further DLC's and how to keep the player interested..? DeeJ : Well easy .. we took the Donut strategy further since everyone who ever ate a donut knows... after a donut you want ...???? IGN : .....want .....? DeeJ : Another donut ofcourse !!!! And we gots em like in buckets ... Allready made finished .. So all we need to do now is to charge 20 $ pr Donut every 3 months for 10 years ..and we can just chillax and LOLZ at all the hate in the forums... IGN : Yeah there is alot of angry ppl in the forums DeeJ . How you can calm them down ? DeeJ : Every week i find some random idiots who seem to enjoy Destiny beyond belief and post it .. Also we have a long term Nerf / Un-nerf plan ... IGN : Nerf / Un-nerf plan ? please explain ....? DeeJ : Well .. We nerf the best weapons , and nerf everything that seems to be working for no apparent reason..then wait until that builds enough hate.. then we un-nerf it.. Keeps the player base in a "scared to complain incase nerf " state and a "Happy they finally un-nerfed it " state. ..Both states mentioned is really good for us and involves little to no work! IGN : Thanks DeeJ for your time and enjoy doing nada for the next 10 years !! https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/74405740/0/0 There is no real progression after the first 2-3 days of gameplay. It's a casual game through and through. Grind/loot games are suppose to give a sense of accomplishment, Destiny does this to a point and then back tracks onto itself. AKA, the donut strategy
